lululemon selfcare moisturizer, dry shampoo, deodorant[/outfit_details]
I remember my first piece of lululemon athletica clothing. It was a white tank with a low scoop back and had three straps running horizontally. I’ve been a fan of the lululemon ever since and my second lululemon piece is still something I reach for in my closet. However, lululemon is hoping to branch out of your closet and pop into your beauty routine. Their brand new selfcare line targets beauty problems you may have surrounding your workout, whether it’s before or after. There’s a moisturizer, dry shampoo, lip balm and two different deodorants, both of which are aluminum free.
Out of the four products, my favorite is the Sweat Reset Face Moisturizer. In addition to drinking a lot of water, another one of my skin secrets is getting sweat off my face as fast as possible after a workout. I’m very lucky in that I either workout in my apartment or at my apartment gym, so I can immediately wash my face. However, right after, I sometimes struggle with what to put on my face, especially if it’s red. I don’t sweat a lot (more on that below) but my face does turn red after working out. The tri-active formula in this moisturizer calms and hydrates your face.
Another big perk of this moisturizer? Johnny approves! He’s so picky about what goes on his face, as most men are, it’s always nice to find a product he enjoys. This way I’m not chasing him around the apartment trying to moisturize his skin.
Another favorite from the lululemon selfcare line is the dry shampoo. I only wash my hair once or twice a week at the most. I don’t sweat so this doesn’t really affect my hair. However, I can relate to needing a good dry shampoo and this one is invisible! Aluminum-free and doesn’t make your hair white, which is a huge must for me. Plus, it smells like a spa. I spritz this into my hair post workout and can curl my hair afterward without that dirty feeling.
It’s also great for adding a bit of texture into your hair. Pro Tip: apply some before you workout so it can absorb the oil or sweat as soon as they appear on your scalp. Of course, don’t forget to apply afterward as well!
The lululemon selfcare line comes in full-size versions, which is pictured above, and also “gym-size” bottles, too! You can purchase them together or separately. The little gym-size bottles are adorable and are also great for traveling, too!
You’re probably wondering why I left the Anti-Stink Deodorant for last. After all, it’s probably going to be one of the line’s most popular items. I did try the aloe deodorant but since I do not sweat, I cannot really review this. For those of you who are new to the blog or following me on Instagram, it may come as a shocker I do not sweat often. I can do a hard HIIT workout and still barely perspire. Maybe I’ll get a little glisten above my upper lip or along my hairline on my forehead but that’s it.
The Anti-Stink Deodorant smells lovely and I really like how it’s a cool spray versus something you apply. However, I am not the right person to say whether or not this is the best for helping to keep your underarms dry or you from smelling. If this is something you’re interested in getting, I highly recommend you check out reviews on lululemon.com.
