Happy Monday My Beautiful Friends!
This Monday is a little harder than normal because I’m heading back after six days at home with family in Dallas, Texas. It’s been months since I was home – the last time was Christmas! I had a couple meetings in Dallas so I packed along a few “work” dresses, including this Sutton Wrap dress. I love wrap dresses, but with a smaller bust, I was always hesitant of how they would look on me. This wrap dress has a silhouette wrapping above the bust rather than below, which for me is much more flattering. Plus, I can comfortably wear this at work and be out in the field reporting without worrying about every exposing anything. I love how the wrap is extra long and forms a criss-cross in the back, which adds an extra detail. Since I’m more petite, I have a bit of extra fabric, but I was fine with letting the bow hang. This wrap dress also comes in dusty blue, red, cobalt blue, black and a dark gray.
This dress is made of bamboo jersey, which is unbelievably soft, but not too warm for hot humid afternoons in Dallas. Of Mercer’s website says the dress can be machine washed, which is great. I would recommend drying the dress flat on a towel by a window.
I have been amassing more open-toe heels since they are more appropriate in Hampton Roads. Plus, if I ever get sent to the beach for a story, I can keep them on without worrying about sand getting stuck in my shoes. These chambray suede heels are the newest in my collection and are extremely comfortable thanks to the block heel. They go with so many things and I recently wore them with a white lace dress for a fancier occasion you’ll see soon. I love how I can dress them up or down.
