I’m officially 27-years-old! Woo! My birthday was this past weekend and if you follow me on Instagram, you know the weather sucked, unbelievably. However, I took the stormy day to spend time indoors, relax a little and get a bunch of things done. It was actually quite nice since Johnny paid for me to get take out and I didn’t have to cook! The weather may have been gray but my mindset was and continues to be so sunny. A lot happened while I was 26. I was on an emotional roller coaster with my Dad’s traumatic brain injury and I had to go through a lot of emotional challenges. Honestly, many of them I didn’t think I would face until my 40’s. However, every bad moment makes me grateful for the good ones. I’m stronger physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m more passionate about what I do. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for 27!
As an April baby, spring really puts a smile on my face. Off-the-shoulder tops continue to be a trend this season. This lavender off-the-shoulder top for spring is a must-have. It’s only $50 and also comes in black. I love the fun and flirty feel of the soft ruffles along this off-the-shoulder top. Plus, it comes with a choker, too. I’m not wearing it since it’s not really my thing but I think it’s definitely fun! The lavender color is my favorite aspect since it’s often overlooked during spring and summer, I feel. Also, the self-tie bows on the sleeves are so cute. Pair this off-the-shoulder top with white jeans like I am here or high-waisted shorts. As a petite gal (I’m 5’3) I love the length on this top. It hits right where my jeans start, which is perfect. Not too long and not too short.
