Happy Monday, Everyone! I can’t believe it’s the first Monday of the last month in 2017. Time truly flies by and my second year in Virginia is wrapping up quite nicely. Of course, with plenty of ups and downs, but I’m grateful for what I have. I’m partnering with Lulus today to share some chic dresses you can wear this holiday season. They have a huge collection of dresses perfect for any holiday functions ranging from cocktail dresses to more formal gowns.
During colder months, I love reaching for velvet, suede and leather. They are classic fabrics you cannot go wrong with. This green velvet midi dress is the epitome of sophistication and perfect for any soiree! It’s a classy conservative cut with a bandeau neckline and long sleeves. One of my favorite details is the button cuff. An elasticized waist gives this dress the perfect fit. Plus, the rich emerald green crushed velvet gives this dress a festive factor. However, this green velvet midi dress does run a little long on me. I’m 5’3 and needed about three inches for this to hit right below my knee. You can wear this at the longer length, which is mid-calf. But for me, that really shrinks me down, which is a look I’m never going for.

Another great holiday dress option is this white bow bodycon dress. I recommend sizing up because your true size will most likely be too tight. I’m wearing a size XS and would have preferred a small. What I love about this dress is you can wear it to work with a cropped blazer, then take that off for any holiday festivities afterward. The fabric is a medium-weight stretchy knit, which isn’t sheer at all. The bow detail at the waist is without a doubt my favorite part. Plus, this is a dress you can easily wear beyond the holiday season. To keep things classic, I’m pairing both dresses with lace-up heels. The chunky heel makes these easy to walk in and the lace-up detail is just too cute to pass up.
