Anthropologie Gingham Halter Dress (on sale for $50!), Ann Taylor Suede Block Heels
Kendra Scott Earrings, Prada Cuir Tote
Hello lovelies! My love affair with gingham dates back to my college days. I remember wearing gingham print shirts in orange (Hook ’em!) and pink. When I spotted this adorable gingham halter dress in Anthropologie, I instantly fell in love. There is something about this dress that’s so charming, darling and whimsical all in one! Most of all, I loveIf you like, you can wear this dress off the shoulder and tuck the halter straps inside. Another option is to wear it on the shoulder, too! The material is a super soft cotton and the dress has a fit and flare silhouette. Plus, this dress has pockets, which is my favorite part. While dresses like this can easily swallow someone who is petite, the detachable sash gives shape. I am not a fan of dresses that end up looking like potato sacks.
This dress does run a little long on me. But personally, I enjoy where the hem hits just below my knee. It gives a very southern charm type feel and is romantic. However, this dress does come in petite sizing in addition to regular. For reference, I’m wearing the regular XXS. Of course, you can dress this gingham halter dress up or down. While a pair of sparkly earrings are sure to make this dress fit a fancier affair, flat sandals will dress it down. Since I love riding the line between casual and fancy, I am wearing block heels and simple accessories. This is probably my favorite type of outfit since it’s a mix of both!
