Kate Spade’s Sale is on SALE (25% off), so naturally I browsed their website to see if there were any treasures to be found. I saw this beautiful Knit Stripped dress. I fell in love with the necklace and casual, yet chic feel. I had Jonathan call the store on Fifth Ave and put my size on hold. Minus $130 later, this beauty was mine!
The first thing I noticed when trying the dress on was the XXS was still a little roomy. But, I knew a belt and some simple folding would do the trick. At least until I can get back to Texas and get my hands on a sewing machine. The knit material feels durable so I know it’ll hold up in the wash. The hem isn’t too long either, it hits me in just the right spot, so I can feel comfortable wearing this dress to work any day of the week.
See those black things sticking out of the water? That’s where the Titanic was supposed to dock if it didn’t collide with the iceberg and lost more than 1,500 passengers.
After visiting the Met Museum, Jonathan and I traveled to the famous High Line. I never thought so much green could exist in New York outside of Central Park. The High Line was filled with exquisite landscaping and beautiful architecture. I think I may have found my future home if I choose to live in New York. Every building was immaculately designed.
As mentioned earlier, the ruffled neckline really caught my eye. I love how Kate Spade really made use of the stripes in the material to add dimension to the ruffles. The neutral colors in the dress will work with gold or silver accessories, but of course, I love gold, so that’s the direction I took with this pairing.
Along the way, Jonathan found this huge dandelion and he gave it to me, telling me to “blow” on it. I couldn’t resist.
