Shoshana dress, Topshop heels, Kendra Scott earrings (old, same color here)
One of my favorite colors to wear once Spring starts to appear is mint and nothing beats a mint dress! There’s just something about this fresh color, I have to wear it in March and April! I’ve been looking at a lot of long-sleeved or quarter-length dresses since these work well on air and translate well if I have to leave the station and go out and about. I really like the fun flouncy flared hem on this dress. As I start to grow my wardrobe, I’ve found the little details are so important to me, whether it’s a fun hem or a ribbon waist. As a reporter and anchor, I refuse to let my wardrobe ever get boring, so it’s little details keeping things fun! I love to incorporate more colors in and I love the way this mint dress adds nice pop.
I ordered these heels from Topshop after seeing them on Nordstrom’s website twice. I loved the lace-up feature and the open silhouette. The majority of the heel is a faux suede, which I thought was a nice touch. The first day I wore these heels, the strap on my left foot did dig into my ankle quite a bit. I wanted to put a gel insert in to add extra cushion inside and potentially raise my ankle up a little, so the strap wouldn’t dig in anymore. However, I never got around to it and a few days later I realized it didn’t hurt anymore! For comfort, these are pretty good for their 4-inch heel. I have worn them all day (I sit on and off) and they didn’t hurt, other than a little pressure on the ball of my foot toward the end of the day. I highly recommend these!
