Fall is officially here and I’m already whipping out all my favorite fall fabrics. Velvet continues to be on trend this fall and there are so many good pieces out there. Deep down, parts of me associate velvet with my figure skating dresses, but that’s slowly changing. This pink velvet bow skirt is an absolute stunner. It’s the perfect mix of chic and sexy and the velvet really kicks it up a notch. I love how its form-fitting and hugs just right without being too tight. Plus, the wrap is tied up into a charming bow, I can’t resist. The styling possibilities are endless, too. Here, I’m going with a simple cashmere sweater, but you can definitely style it for going out with the girls or date night. I’m wearing a size XS and it fits me like a glove. This sleek skirt also comes in an elegant navy, too.

I have so many fun things planned for October! My sister is coming to visit me this weekend and we are thinking of taking a road trip somewhere! My family can’t come visit me often, especially because my Dad is sick, so I can’t wait to have company! Plus, in a few weeks, Johnny will be here and we are thinking of heading to see the Virginia mountains! Of course, we’re looking into doing the basic fall things, including going to a pumpkin patch. However, we are hoping to add an orchard to the list, which we need to cross off our list.
