Banana Republic Pleated Ombre Dress (on sale!), Stuart Weitzman heels,
camel crossbody, Kendra Scott earrings c/o (old, similar pair here)
Hello My Beautiful Friends!
I hope you had a lovely weekend! Pleats have always had a spot in my heart and my wardrobe. This Banana Republic pleated ombre dress is a fantastic dress for a nice daytime occasion, date night, etc. The emerald green ombre is beautifully done and absolutely stunning in person. My photos truly do not do this dress justice. The straps start out at a light mint color, then is the perfect rich emerald at the end of the hem. I’ve been skeptical of midi length skirts and dresses in the past because I’m vertically challenged to say the least. However, the length of this dress actually elongated me and is making me reconsider midi length items for the future since they can be lengthening.
The neckline on this pleated ombre dress is very flattering and isn’t too revealing, so you don’t have to worry about being exposed. I also love how the straps are incorporated into the dress. They are twisted and fits in nicely with the pleats. I also found out the dress has hidden pockets in the side seams, which is very nifty and handy especially for special occasions. You can slip your phone and credit card, ID, perhaps a lipstick even, in them and don’t have to worry about carrying a clutch! I love being able to keep my hands free.
My Kendra Scott earrings are from last spring’s collection, but I found a similar pair currently being sold. They are made amazonite stone, which looks like a beautiful watercolor painting. The shape is a sloping kite silhouette easily worn with casual, work and dressier outfits.
