I wanted to share a fun easy to recreate date outfit. Off the shoulder tops are so fun and flirty, which makes them great for dates. I fell in love with the cute ruffles and flutter sleeves on this off-the-shoulder top earlier in the summer. You may recall I have this top in a light peach color, seen here. The top became an easy favorite so I wanted to get it in another color that would pop more. I will admit, I’m one of those people who will get the same items in multiple colors if I truly love it. I’m already thinking about getting this top in black.

Styling a date outfit around an off-the-shoulder top is effortless. You can choose to wear shorts like I did here when it’s warmer or during the day. Another great option is to wear jeans. Depending on where the date would be, you can go for white jeans, distressed jeans or a dark wash. If Johnny were taking me out to a slightly dressy restaurant, I’d wear dark wash skinny jeans. Even though I wore shorts here, I opted for heels – I’ve worn these all summer and still aren’t quite ready to tuck them away for fall just yet.

A great way to spice up a date outfit is with accessories. You may have seen chokers make a comeback this year. When trying a trend, I opt for accessories since they are easy to style in without a big price. I love Baublebar because they have a mix of classic and trendy pieces at affordable price points. This choker had me the moment I saw it. I really liked the material and how the ends have gold tassels. The long length allows you to tie this tassel multiple ways. I opted for the classic bow near the neck here, but plan on trying out different styles.
