Zara Frill Sleeve Dress, Christian Louboutin pumps, Prada Cuir tote, Kendra Scott earrings
Happy Wednesday My Beautiful Friends! Yellow is one of my favorite colors to wear because it’s so bright and compliments my skin tone very well. Other than the lilac drape dress, this yellow frill sleeve dress is one of my favorite purchases lately. The shade of yellow is exactly what I look for in a dress: sunny and bright. The silhouette is more of a shift dress, so I might do some alterations to make this more form fitting. I’m wearing a size XS, however, there is still plenty of room in the waist and hips. A friend of mine who is a size 2 tried on this dress and it fit her beautifully! So if you are petite like me, keep in mind alterations will most likely be needed. I am actually considering reconstructing the entire body of the dress to add a waist section and a skirt. We’ll see.
Of course, other than the sunny hue, this frill sleeve dress won my heart because of its feminine charm. The sleeves are similar to bell sleeves but very work appropriate. I am reluctant to wear a true bell sleeve dress to work for fear it may be too much. However, this frill sleeve dress has just the right amount of volume. Not too much, but still enough to wow. I also like how the sleeves are 3/4 length instead of a full long sleeve. When I find a dress I love, I do not mind buying it in multiple colors. Without shame, I bought the sharp black too. This may sound crazy, but I still do not have a black dress I love that isn’t sleeveless. I’m thinking this will fulfill that role. Plus, I just noticed in a rich pinkish red with some texture on the fabric if you are looking for another color.
