Before discovering Chanel foundation, I religiously stood by tinted moisturizer or BB cream if I needed some coverage. However, liquid was the only medium I was comfortable working with. I was introduced to cream foundations by my lovely Mom, who is a die-hard cream foundation fan. It compliments her mature dry skin and gives her the most even coverage in the shortest amount of time. I decided to give her cream foundation compact a try and completely fell in love!

This Chanel cream foundation is smooth and dries to a powder finish. I used a MAC Paddle brush to apply the foundation and ensure it got into the small crevices in my face such as the areas around my nose and close to my eyes. Even without powdering, this foundation lasts a great amount of time and held up without slipping.

I wouldn’t recommend this foundation for those with oily skin as it does feel thick on the face upon initial application. And, if you don’t completely need a full coverage foundation, this won’t be your holy grail, but if full coverage is what you need and you don’t mind a little cakey feeling, this is a must try!
