Summer may be winding down but I’m refusing to let it go. I have plans to get back to the beach as much as possible. If you’ve been reading Color & Chic for a while, you know I appreciate maxi dresses in the summer to keep the sun off my skin. I cannot stop swooning over the color of this maxi dress with pockets. The color reminds me of the ocean and it’s perfect for summer. The halter neck makes this dress easy to put on and wear. It adjusts to your size and you can make it as high or low as you’d like.  I’m only 5’3 and wearing about three-inch heels but this maxi dress with pockets doesn’t need alterations for me. That’s definitely surprising! On its own, this dress is a total stunner and will make a statement. You can wear it to the beach or even on a date, which adds to the versatility factor.

I’m keeping accessories for this blue maxi dress with pockets simple. These earrings are similar to the dress so they blend in. I chose a white summery bag to go with the tropical feel for this look. While Johnny and I were in D.C. we took the plunge and bought a new camera after close to six years of using our 5D Mark II. We are so excited to have the latest technology and Johnny is already loving it. Our new photos are so crisp and the focus is tack sharp. It’s truly incredible what technology can do and how quickly it can upgrade! This maxi dress with pockets is our first shoot with our new camera and it was incredible!
