Summer is the time where everyone tends to wear their brightest and best. So what is the best color to wear and stand out for summer? While many may gravitate toward red or maybe even turquoise, I will always be loyal to yellow. It’s my go-to color for good reason. Not too many people will wear yellow because they believe it doesn’t look good against their skin tone. But, if it’s summer and you have a halfway decent tan, it’s all about finding the right shade of yellow for you. Trust me, I truly believe yellow is the best color to wear for so many people. You just have to find the right one.
I know with my more medium skin tone, I can wear just about any shade of yellow. My personal favorite is the one above, which is a bright sunshine or canary yellow. It’s the yellow kids draw in the rainbow or choose to represent the sun. I also think this is one of the most versatile versions of yellow and can look good on a variety of people. It’ll definitely make you stand out for summer because it’s the brightest color on the spectrum. If you have a more fair or pale complexion look for mustard or dark yellows. Pale yellow will also be good on you but if you are worried about it contrasting with blonde hair, think of pale yellow pants or a skirt. For those with medium to olive skin, bright yellows are best. If you are dark skin, you can wear literally any shade of yellow and look incredible!
In addition to the bright yellow hue of this wrap jumpsuit, this piece is definitely a statement. I love pieces like this where there are layers, which add movement and depth. If this yellow won’t suit your skin tone, this wrap jumpsuit also comes in black. I’m wearing size XS and it fits me perfectly. The length is also good without alterations on me and I’m 5’3. I know this plunge v-neck can be a little tricky so I’m also sharing how I navigate that. Generally speaking, having a smaller bust means you can go braless. However, I definitely recommend these stick-on shapers. My girl, Katy of Mumu and Macaroons told me about these when we were at rsTheCon and I have been hooked ever since! They truly stay on regardless of how hot or sweaty the situation can get.
