We just got back from our two-week honeymoon in Italy and it seems like everyone I know is getting ready for their own vacations now! In honor of the start of summer, I wanted to put together a beach packing list for you to reference as you go on your own. It probably sounds crazy but packing is actually one of my favorite parts of vacation. I love putting together different outfits for everything we have on our itinerary! A majority of these pieces are incredibly versatile, which is important when you’re packing everything you need for a trip in one suitcase. Enjoy!

Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 40

You know I had to put sunscreen at the top of this beach packing list! I strongly believe in using sunscreen every day no matter what, and going to the beach makes this ritual even more important. What I like about Glowscreen is it’s a sunscreen and primer in one. It also creates a beautiful dewy finish that, as you can imagine, glows!

Gucci Gold Trim Cat Eye Sunglasses

This is another example of fashion meeting function. In addition to being uncomfortable during long periods of time, the sun can really damage our eyes. These sunnies are the perfect balance of modern and classic, and even though they may be an investment upfront, I know I’ll wear them for years to come. 

KAYU Colbie Bag

Is there anything more quintessentially beachy than a straw tote? This one is such a great size for all your essentials for a day poolside or on the beach, and I love how it’s made by artisans in Malaysia. I also love the woven pattern and versatile cotton straps!

French Sole Alibi Sandals

If you’ve had your eye on the Hermes sandals, these are a fantastic way to get the look for less while still investing in a pair that will last. You can see and feel just how high quality they are, and they’re quite comfortable once you put them on. These are also polished enough that you can wear them to a nice dinner after you’re done at the beach.

Amazon Claw Hair Clips

Clips like these are incredibly useful for getting in the water without wetting your hair or styling it while it’s air drying after a shower and before dinner. I’ve been impressed with how well they hold up large amounts of hair.

Michael Stars Leni Ruana Coverup

A coverup like this one is a beach packing list must. You never know what kind of stops you’ll have to make before or after spending time by the water! I love the beautiful patterning this one has and how versatile the ivory color is.

Serena & Lily Capri Fouta Beach Towel

These towels are absolutely the way to go any time you’re on vacation! They’re very similar to Turkish towels, which means thinner than the standard beach towel but still incredibly absorbent, so you can maximize space in your suitcase. 

Matthew Bruch Kimmie Colorblock Bikini Set

I love this set so much! The colorblocking is unique without being distracting, and you get the perfect amount of coverage. One cool thing I want to note is the bikini is made in the USA!

WeWoreWhat Danielle 3.0 One Piece

I always like to make sure there’s a one-piece on my beach packing list in case I get sunburned or we do a more intense activity. Every detail of this one is so beautiful! The blue is very vibrant and the belt makes you feel polished as well.

ILIA Balmy Tint Hydrating Lip Balm

Being outside in the heat for a long time can be very drying, which is why I always like to have this lip balm on hand. It is SO hydrating and the color makes me feel more put together than I would otherwise.

MAJORELLE Baker Mini Dress

Every beach packing list has to include a sundress like this! The halter, gauzy fabric, and tie dye are absolutely perfect for summer vacation. It’s a fantastic throw-on-and-go piece that will really highlight your tan!

Can’t Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds by David Goggins

I read this book while on our honeymoon and thought it was amazing. David’s story is remarkable and the way he positions his experiences provides a tangible mindset shift. If you’ve been wanting to dig deeper and haven’t figured out how, you have to read this book! Honestly though, everyone needs to read this book.

A good hat can go a long way in shading you from the sun’s harmful rays, and I love the 360 coverage of a hat like this. Aesthetically, the beaded strap is beautiful and really elevates the straw. I also really like the adjustable interior band because you can customize your fit to help keep the hat secure on your head.
