Hello Everyone!
Athleisure is all the rage nowadays and I personally have been enjoying it a lot. I still love to dress up, but I’m really digging being casual, but still chic. I’m sure you can tell I’ve been addicted to the color gray lately…this look reinforces that. The allure to athleisure is wearing athletic clothes, but it’s more appropriate than the “I just got out of the gym” sweaty or disheveled look. I usually slip into athleisure mode when I’m off work and need to run errands or grab a bite to eat quickly. It takes the guesswork out of “pairing” something more put together. Plus…you don’t look like you tried too hard. I also read an article saying some high-end restaurants have adapted to this (especially for their lunch service) and won’t turn down customers who are sporting the athleisure look. However, just a plain sports bra and booty shorts will get turned away. That’s just a bit too much.
When I do athleisure, I like to mix in crop tops or tops with a slightly shorter hem than normal for pinch of chic. I also like how it can elongate my body. Plus…you worked hard for those abs, show ’em off! You can’t go wrong with black athletic tights, but I’ve been digging joggers lately too. I think gray elevates the look from a regular black joggers, so I own two different gray pairs. It’s important to find a pair with tapered legs, so your legs are elongated and slenderized. I’ve also had my eye on these blush leather joggers…thinking about pulling the plug for when the weather is warmer.
