Workwear will always be one of my favorite outfits to put together. There’s something about putting on an outfit you love that makes you feel confident. I would love for you to buy one of my recommendations, put it on and walk into work feeling capable, powerful and smart. I’m a big believer in cost per wear and investing in great closet staples. However, not everything needs to be an expensive purchase. I’m excited to share an easy and inexpensive business casual outfit you’ll love.
1. Start With Black Denim
Y’all know I love a good pair of jeans and black denim is no exception to that. These high-rise straight-crop jeans are super flattering, comfortable and stretchy. One reason I love black denim is it gives that slightly casual look but can be easily dressed up with the right top, blazer and shoes.
This year I started venturing out into straight jeans and I really appreciate the cropped length on these jeans. I’m wearing size Petite 00. It hits right above my ankle, which makes it perfect for wearing with all kinds of shoes including flats, heels or even booties come fall and winter.
High-raise denim is also fantastic for an inexpensive business casual outfit because it’s super flattering with a nice blouse or sweater tucked in. It gives the illusion of longer legs and makes it super easy to give you a flattering figure.
2. White Blouse
I’m a firm believer you can never go wrong with a white blouse. It’s classic and if you find one you love, will become a workhorse in your wardrobe. Plus, it’ll be a key piece in your inexpensive business casual outfit. I really love how feminine this pleated ruffle blouse is. It’s soft, flowy and you can wear it tucked in or untucked. I appreciate how it comes with a built-in cami with adjustable straps so you can make it the right length and placement for you.
Beautiful on its own but will also be stunning under a blazer, too. Below, I’m sharing a few of my favorites.
