We’ve still got another month of summer, Fall officially starts September 22, but I wanted to share a few ways you can style a leather jacket. Allsaints makes my favorite leather jackets and I snapped one up last year during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Whether your leather jacket is a neutral color or something like this sage green, these styling ideas will work.
Outfit 1: Workwear
I love a leather jacket for workwear when appropriate. I realize not everyone can pull this off, but it’s a good “outerwear” piece for fall and early winter. Throw it over your favorite work dress and you’ll add a bit of edge to an otherwise more standard outfit. If you’re wearing your leather jacket with a dress or skirt, make sure it’s cropped. This elongates your body as opposed to truncating it. When it starts to get cold, tights are a great option to keep your legs warm.
Outfit 2: Business Casual
For a sleek work outfit, you want to add some jazz to, this leather jacket is perfection. This top is one of my new favorite tops because of how stretchy it is. The neutral color makes it perfect under a leather jacket of any shade. If you’re on the hunt for a good pair of work pants, these are my absolute favorite. They are made of scuba material so they are wildly stretchy and so comfortable. This is one of my favorite ways to style a leather jacket for work.
Outfit 3: Casual Fall
I love over-the-knee boots and I think part of me always will. To style this leather jacket for fall, I paired it with black jeans and a light blush sweater. Over-the-knee boots can really make an outfit, similar to a leather jacket. Everything here fits true to size and you can restyle multiple ways.
Outfit 4: Sporty
Sporty looks can be so fun and this one is a little more elevated than your basic black leggings. I love these lustrous leggings because they are so versatile. They are workout leggings, so you can wear to the gym, but also under sweaters and tunics for winter! I kept it simple with a white tee (my fav) underneath and white sneakers.
Outfit 5: Sweater Dress
Is it really fall if you don’t wear a sweater dress and booties? Here is an easy fall look you can wear almost anywhere. If you need an added layer, the leather jacket is great to throw on. You can really see here why it’s important for the jacket to hit no lower than hip-length to maintain the best proportions.
