Happy Monday Y’all! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine was filled with plenty of figure skating since the World Championships were happening. If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you all know who I was rooting for, ha! It was the last competition of a really tiring but exciting season! Of course, my favorite to win the title in the Men’s event was Nathan Chen. After a disastrous short program at the Olympics and pulling himself from 17th to 5th, I hoped he learned a priceless lesson and would clinch the gold here. Two beautiful skates later, Nathan is the new 2018 World Champion! Woo! And with the help of Max Aaron, we continue to have three spots for the next World Championship.
I’m putting a little spring in my step with the most darling red ruffle wrap skirt. I love the vibrant hue, which is perfect for spring and summer. Plus, a piece like this is something you can wear with a variety of tops. I’m wearing a size XXS, but would have preferred an XS, personally. The surplice front is feminine and flirty with the ties at the top. Also, I can’t resist ruffles, so of course this skirt is a favorite! The length of this skirt is perfect for me: not too short and not too long. It’s ultra flattering because it elongates the legs without looking too “ready for the club” if you know what I mean. This skirt also comes in white, too.
Since it can still get a little chilly here in Coastal Virginia, I’m pairing this ruffle wrap skirt with a lightweight sweater. I love the frilly edges at the neck, sleeves and hem of this sweater. The high-neck is not only chic but helps keep the cold out. The fabric is incredibly stretchy, so it’s definitely comfortable and easy to wear. This sweater would also be perfect tucked into high-waisted jeans with a belt and a nice pair of pumps. It also comes in gray, black and beige.
