I am one of those people who work 24/7. I absolutely love what I do whether it’s being a journalist or finding clothes to help women feel confident. As you may know, I prefer dresses at work since they are one piece. However, I’m branching out and sharing a great option for the office featuring pants. These River Island tapered pants are so flattering. They really elongate and slim the legs. That’s something this petite gal can get on board with. At first, I thought these could look off, but they look great. River Island’s website calls this color dark gray. However, they are more taupe to me. This color is so versatile and you can wear it all year. I’m wearing size US 2 and they fit so well. If anything, I could hem them an inch, but they look just fine without.
I know November is underway, but Coastal Virginia still has pretty mild temperatures, hence the heeled sandals. I think these tapered pants would also look great with classic pumps, too. When it comes to dressing for TV News, I lean toward what is comfortable. Most days, I have no idea what I will be covering or what breaking news will happen. I need to be prepared for whatever comes my way. Sometimes, we get really close to missing deadline, but usually always make it. That’s why I like my clothes to be fuss-free. However, on the occasion where I work on a special report or know I’ll be at a city council meeting, I can experiment and play with my wardrobe. That’s what I love about these pants, they are comfortable and easy to wear. I don’t have to worry about wrinkles. Plus, they have pockets, which is a big requirement for me when it comes to pants!
