There are typically two reasons people shop: either you’re building your wardrobe or you’re building looks for a certain occasion. Whenever I plan to go somewhere, I often find I need just one more thing to round out my packing. This may be a dress for a certain dinner, or possibly a backpack for a certain excursion. Now that summer trips have begun, I didn’t want to hold off on this post any longer! Today I’ve rounded up three beach vacation outfits, each one ideal for a different purpose. (Everything would match the pieces in my summer must haves blog too!)

A white swimsuit is timeless but I actually love this top and bottom in cream even more because it’s elevated and unexpected. My favorite part about a coverup like this one is the twisted knot at the hip because it looks like a pareo you tie on but is more functional. With such a bold skirt, you can keep the other accessories relatively simple: huggies and a timeless chain, a woven tote, round aviators and easy sandals.

What I love about this beach vacation outfit is how it embraces neutrals and natural fibers. The two piece set is amazing because it’s made of linen, which is an incredibly breathable fabric that’s perfect for warm weather. You can also wear it together or apart. This Chloe bag is a great size for just the essentials, and the mix of materials is fantastic! I got the Hermes Orans on our honeymoon and they’re the kind of sandal you can wear with anything. The finishing touches are this straw hat that provides quite a bit of coverage, versatile huggies and tortoiseshell sunglasses.

A bright pink midi like this is the perfect foundation for a beach vacation outfit. My favorite details are the ruched bust and high slit. I own these sandals and adore how they can lean casual or more dressy. The bead color also matches this headband! I wear these earrings with nearly everything and love how they make a lightweight statement. This structured handbag in a rich chestnut can be worn four different ways, and these sunglasses are beautiful as well as subtly retro.
