A Weekend in Richmond :: Quick Travel Guide

Richmond is one of America’s oldest cities and full of charm, beauty and history. It’s crazy to think it’s only an hour and a half away from Norfolk yet I never spent a weekend in Richmond until now. Our trip was a quick one but full of beautiful memories. It’s a city now known for its’ arts revolution, lots of delicious food and beautiful landscapes. The capital of Virginia, Richmond is sometimes referred to as the Capital of the South and I can see why. There are beautiful mountains nearby, innovative universities and lots of museums, street art and, of course, good ol’ Southern Charm.

Why I use BBG to Stay Healthy & Strong

Hello, My Beautiful Friends! What I do to workout or what my fitness routine is has been such a requested post for years! Before I get into what I currently do, I want to point out something. I truly believe I’ve been fortunate to have parents who supported and encouraged a healthy and active lifestyle. I started figure skating when I was 8-years-old and shortly after, to keep up with the demands figure skating put on my body, I was introduced to a warm-up, workout and post-skating regimen. Figure skating competitively was my life for more than 11 years. This contributes to a great metabolism and foundation for having lean muscle. My Dad is quite lean himself and had well-defined muscles in his legs before he got sick. My Mom encouraged us to eat plenty of greens and vegetables so I grew up loving healthy food.

Watching Olympic Figure Skating :: Layering Up to Stay Warm

I cannot believe how surreal the past week has been. It’s so crazy to believe more than a week ago, we traveled to PyeongChang to watch the 2018 Winter Olympic Games and Thursday night, Johnny and I watched the last even together on our sofa in the United States. It’s been the most incredible experience and there has been so darn good figure skating the past few weeks. I’ll write more on this below. I’ll be doing a full post on what you need to know about traveling to the Olympics soon along with a full travel guide, but I’m sharing some outfit snippets here. The weather wasn’t as cold as we thought, but layering up to stay warm is essential.
