My Current Spring Beauty Regimen

Spring is all about refreshing. Once winter is over and warmer weather starts showing its colors, I love to revamp my beauty drawer and swap colors out. One of my most asked questions revolves around my beauty routine, so in today’s post I’m sharing my current spring beauty regimen. This post will include skincare, haircare, the tools I use and of course my makeup. I’ll break down each of my favorites and why I love it. Some of these are holy-grail favorites I’ve used for years. While some are new favorites I can’t live without.

Spring Workwear Pieces I’m Lusting After

As the weather starts to get warmer and the days get a little bit longer, I feel like spring is really just right around the corner. We got a small dose of spring weather and now I’m lusting after spring like never before. I want to share some spring workwear pieces I’m lusting after and most of them are on sale. A majority of these are classic and feminine pieces you can restyle and wear over and over. I’m a big advocate of creating a wardrobe where you have endless styling possibilities. Many of us don’t have time in the morning to really “style” an outfit and spend time figuring out if this works with that. You want to be able to grab something, put it on, get ready and walk out the door feeling confident.

The Spring Dress You Can Wear Anywhere

If you’re looking to shop for spring, look no further. This is the spring dress you can wear anywhere and it’s only $68. Whether you’re heading out for brunch, dinner date, even work, this dress is appropriate. While it has a v-neck it’s not too low. The fun playful feel of the knot and how the fabric moves oozes the spirit of spring. I absolutely love the yellow color, which is actually more of a sunshine yellow and less of marigold as portrayed on the site. Plus, I love how a different pair of shoes can really make the feel of this spring dress different. I’m wearing them with some of my favorite heels but a pair of fun flats or even sneakers would change the look. One aspect I love about this dress is long sleeves. They make this dress so chic and the overall length of the dress is just right. Not too long or too short. On my 5’3 frame, it hits just a few inches above my knee.

Taking Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

I’m in that awkward phase right now where it’s still winter and I love it, but I’m also craving spring. Please tell me I’m not the only one? I want to talk about taking your wardrobe from winter to spring. Similar to staying warm in the winter, layering is key here. There will be days where it’s unseasonably warm and you’ll want to wear lighter pieces. having them out in your closet and ready to go will make this easier. Also, embracing bringing back pops of color if you wear a lot of neutrals in the winter. Here are are my three easy steps to taking your wardrobe from winter to spring.

Figure Skating with Outdoor Voices

Right boot on, then left boot on. Lace up the right skate, then lace up the left. On a crisp fall morning, come with me to Chilled Ponds, a local ice rink where I’m rediscovering my love for figure skating as a 27-year-old grandma (in figure skating terms, ha!)

I spent 11 years of my life figure skating. I pursued it competitively for most of those 11 years and as all good things, it came to an end. Injuries and just not being good enough to continue pursuing it pushed me to work hard toward my other dreams. I’m nowhere near as good as I used to be but figure skating in Outdoor Voices has inspired me to try some of my old tricks – even if it’s awkward, slow or ends in my butt on the ice.
