The Best Shoes for Spring and Summer 2019

One of my favorite parts about warmer weather is swapping out my boots for sandals and espadrilles. Some of these are new to my collection, while others are my go-to’s. I want to share the best shoes for spring and summer this year. These are the pairs I’ll be grabbing most and will go with everything. Versatility is key for me, so if you’re heading on a trip, you can’t go wrong with many of these because you can wear them multiple times. You may notice there are lots of neutrals here. Of course, that’s not without reason. In the spring and summer, I wear a ton of color. That’s why I think the best shoes for spring and summer are nude or tan since they will complement every outfit.

Little Pink Skort for a Valentine’s Day Outfit Idea

I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is around the corner! While Johnny and I don’t really celebrate as far as gifts or date night, it is nice to have a day dedicated to love. We believe going the extra mile or putting in effort shouldn’t be confined to a holiday. For example, if I want to get Johnny something nice, I’ll just get it and give it to him. I don’t have to wait for a holiday or a reason to show him I love him. Same goes for him. We’re not big on holidays for gift giving and we are very upfront with our gifts and things we want. That said, I know many people celebrate, so I want to share a fun Valentine’s Day Outfit Idea you can wear again later on in the season.

A Casual Winter Outfit :: Turtleneck Poncho

For most of winter, I prefer to stay comfortable, casual and warm. Don’t get me wrong, I love to dress up, wear heels and a pretty dress. But when it’s cold my outfit has to be functional. Coming up with a casual winter outfit that doesn’t revolve around looking like a marshmallow can be difficult. As many of you know, layering is key. That’s one reason I love this casual winter outfit consisting of a turtleneck poncho. I’m wearing size XXS and there is still plenty of room to layer a cashmere or merino wool base layer underneath. You may even be able to sneak another sweater underneath, too! I love how this particular poncho drapes. It’s very flattering and forgiving. Plus, the speckled fabric gives this ultra cozy vibe while still being chic. The dolman sleeves still fit inside most coats and jackets, so you really can layer up if the temperatures are frigid!

How to Style Sneakers for Fall

I have a confession to make: I’m a sneaker addict. I’m not quite sure when this all started, but for years now, I have been in love with sneakers. I own a ridiculous amount of pairs I’m not quite comfortable disclosing. Probably because it’s embarrassing. I cannot exactly wear sneakers to work. However, I can wear them almost everywhere else. Today I want to share how to style sneakers with style. Sneakers are getting increasingly popular and can be worn day to night. Styling them can be a tricky situation, especially since sneakers do look so good with workout clothes or athleisure. However, they can look extremely stylish if you pick the right pieces.

Red Jumpsuit

This petite red jumpsuit was one of my favorite purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It also comes in black and is on sale for less than $90! What I love about this red jumpsuit is how it fits perfectly right out of the box. I’m wearing a Petite 0 and this babe required no jumpsuits whatsoever. I”m 5’3 for reference and am wearing 3-inch heels. While it is definitely a statement, I can wear it to work on certain days and totally get away with it.
