Picturesque Cherry Blossoms in D.C. & a Mint Green Suit

In early April, more than 1.5 million tourists make their way to see the picturesque cherry blossoms in D.C. and take photos. The main goal is to witness what’s known as the peak bloom of about 3,000 cherry trees. It’s a spectacular sight and the National Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the gift of friendship to the United States from the people of Japan. The Sakura truly transforms the area into a romantic, whimsical place. While my sister and I missed the peak bloom by a day or two, there are still stunning blooms all over our Nation’s Capitol. The time these exquisite flowers bloom changes every year, so there isn’t a set time. There are estimates but the weather is unpredictable and changes every minute. Check back soon for a more in-depth travel guide to seeing cherry blossoms in D.C.

The Three Best Joggers for Women

Maybe it’s the former athlete in me, but I cannot resist a pair of good joggers.  It can be hard to find the right pair of joggers to fit and flatter you. Some can be too baggy, too long, too tight or even too short. In this post, I want to share the best joggers for women I’ve found. I’ll never forget how I stumbled upon both of these joggers. They were not filed under the jogger section, actually. However, I remember seeing the fit on the model and thinking, “These are it!” There are two pairs I’m featuring in this post. One is high waisted and has a more subtle look. The other sits lower on the waist and features the iconic Nike swoosh. I recommend both but if you’re only going to get one, I hope this helps you decide between the two.

Exploring the Best Views in Central Park

Hello from New York City! It’s been a bucket list item for years for Johnny and I to go to New York City during the holidays together. I have been several times before but unfortunately, he couldn’t tag along. This time, we are in the NYC for a good few days and are beyond excited to explore and check off some places we’ve been dying to visit! I’m partnering with Sole Society in today’s post to share some warm and comfortable pieces I’m wearing on my trip. Of course, you can’t go on a trip to New York without visiting Central Park. However, it’s quite vast and I want to save you some time. So I’m sharing the best views in Central Park and what I’m wearing to take in those views while staying warm.

A Weekend in Richmond :: Quick Travel Guide

Richmond is one of America’s oldest cities and full of charm, beauty and history. It’s crazy to think it’s only an hour and a half away from Norfolk yet I never spent a weekend in Richmond until now. Our trip was a quick one but full of beautiful memories. It’s a city now known for its’ arts revolution, lots of delicious food and beautiful landscapes. The capital of Virginia, Richmond is sometimes referred to as the Capital of the South and I can see why. There are beautiful mountains nearby, innovative universities and lots of museums, street art and, of course, good ol’ Southern Charm.
