Christmas Decor Ideas: What I’m Loving this Season

Supply chain issues can make it difficult to shop for holiday decor this year. Last year I recommended starting early and the same goes for this year. I’m already seeing a lot of the Christmas decor I’m eyeing sell out. As I write this, I already set up our new 9′ Christmas Tree. It looks like the clear candlelight LEDs are currently out of stock, but will return in a few days! I wanted to do a round-up and give you some Christmas decor ideas I’m loving this season that are sure to last.

Wreaths & Garlands

I’m pretty picky about wreaths and garlands. They’re beautiful Christmas decor ideas if you can find ones that look authentic. Personally, I prefer to invest upfront a bit and have something for years to come. Last year I got three of these cypress garlands and they are stunning. They look so real and are perfect whether you drape them on a mantle on their own or add more decor. I really like how they are pliable and you can shape them how you want! These sold out pretty quickly last year, so I highly recommend ordering if you’re interested. Last year, I went for an asymmetrical look with these and love how it looked draped off one end of the mantle.

Christmas Trees

In 2017, I bought a flocked Christmas tree online. It was a great price for the size and for a flocked tree! However, it wasn’t pre-lit and it sheds quite a bit. However, it is quite stunning since it’s a long needle pine. If you’re interested, I’ve linked it here. I still love it and will set it up in my parents’ house this year without ornaments or lights to alleviate the flocking shedding.

This year, I wanted to invest in a new tree, especially since we have taller ceilings in our home. The 7.5′ tree looked a dash short, but last year we had to save money for other things and a tree wasn’t high on the priority list. After some intense research, it turns out Balsam Hill trees are quite incredible. They look so realistic and after setting ours up, I so appreciate how it’s so easy! I’ll write a full post on this later.
