Five Things You Can to Do to Be Happier Now

“You’re such a happy and positive person!” I hear this quite often in person and via social media. I can’t help it. I’m a happy person who always looks for the positive in any situation. Yes, I had an easier life than most, but I believe perspective and gratitude play a key role in my positivity. I’m excited to share five things you can do to be happier now. Growing up, I remember a sign my Mom had posted in our house by Charles Swindoll. I think she had multiple copies because I remember seeing it in multiple places… the bathroom is one of them. She was pretty smart šŸ˜‰

Saturday Spread: Sheltering-in-Place with a Samsung Frame TV, Being Efficient and a Few House Mistakes

Hi y’all! It’s definitely been a crazy week for us! Dallas officially got a shelter-in-place order and we’ve been staying put with my Dad. It is challenging handling everything at once, but Johnny and I have a roll-with-the-punches attitude about everything so we take it all in stride. New Build Update: Seeing Cabinets & Doors Go In For the First Time

I truly love every single room in this new build house but if I had to pick, the kitchen just might be my favorite. Every day, Johnny and I read about how a company is laying off more employees as they try their best to survive, small businesses fearful they will never get to open again, families devastated by lack of income… the list is endless. In this post, I want to share two simple ways you can help those in need.

Spring Workwear I love from Ann Taylor 50% off!

I know many of us are working from home now, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put on a nice outfit. I’ve always been a firm believer in getting ready and getting dressed can really boost your confidence. Plus, there will be a time we all return to work. I’ve turned to Ann Taylor for as long as I can remember (maybe since I was 16) for professional clothes. I have fond memories of going into the store with my Mom who worked as a sociology and psychology professor to buy clothes for work. Ann Taylor recently released a bunch of new spring workwear and I have to say, I love a lot of the pieces. Plus, they are 50-60% off right now with code CYBER! Below are some of my favorite pieces!
