Hey Y’all! I hope this week is going well for you! Winter this year is no joke. We’ve had more than two rounds of snow and one of them a blizzard! I get lots of questions about how I stay in the winter, so I’m giving away my toasty secrets in this blog post. Cashmere and wool will be your best friends. This gray merino wool sweater dress is a new closet staple of mine. What I love about merino wool is its warming and moisture wicking capabilities. Wool traps more dead air than any other fiber out there. Dead air keeps you insulated and is a fantastic buffer against the cold. Plus, merino wool can absorb up to 30 percent of its dry weight before feeling wet. Isn’t that insane!? These are just a few reasons why I love this gray merino wool sweater dress.

There are tons of great sweater dresses out there that will actually keep you warm. I have my eye on this striped merino wool sweater dress and it’s on sale, too! Another good merino wool piece is this sweater dress, which comes in three colors! Merino wool can be pricey, but I promise you it’s worth it. Being cold is just not fun.

Of course, I love to layer when it comes to winter. Cashmere tanks are one of my must-haves for staying warm. When it’s colder than 50 degrees, you can bet good money I am wearing one of these under any outfit. I love to layer these under sweaters, dresses or even blouses if I can, just to stay warm. I have them in two colors: nude and navy. If you have one of the newer washing machines, you can even wash these with cashmere detergent on the handwash or wool cycle.
