When Life Gives You Lemons :: Lemon Print Jumpsuit

Happy FriYay, y’all! Sooo, Why did the lemon fail her driving test? It kept peeling out! Sorry, couldn’t help myself. I feel like I have to tell a bad lemon joke anytime I wear anything lemon print. However, how darling is this strapless lemon print jumpsuit?! It is the perfect piece to bring the sunshine wherever you’re going. I typically prefer items that skim the body more, but I’m loving the wide leg trend right now. Plus, it also helps when the weather gets hot. This fresh-squeezed number has built-in pads, so you can totally nix your bra! I love the sweetheart neckline, which gives this lemon print jumpsuit such a summery feel. One aspect I love is how effortless this jumpsuit is. Throw it on and head out the door and you are sure to make everyone smile wherever you go! Read more…

Two-Way Crop Top with Pleated Pants + Fall of Saigon

Today is the 43rd Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon. It’s the day the Vietnam War ended with the wrong winners and Vietnam became a communist country. However, I don’t say this lightly as human rights in Vietnam are in critical condition, as reported by Human Rights Watch. There is no freedom of speech, press, […] Read more…

Spring Must-Have :: Marigold Ruffle Dress & Trench Coat

I’m a big fan of a true sunny yellow shade but this marigold ruffle dress is making me think twice. This is such a flattering color on a variety of skin tones. If you are looking to branch into yellow but are unsure of where to start, I recommend this. The ruffle detailing gives this dress a fun, feminine touch. Also, this fabric feels like a dream on. It’s a slinky weave that feels cool on the skin and doesn’t tug. I’m wearing size P in this ruffle dress and it fits quite well. There is a little bit of extra room in the bust, but it doesn’t bother me too much. The cap sleeves do have a slit in them. However, this is definitely still a very work-appropriate dress. Swap out these block heels for something a little sexier to make this a fun girls night out or date night dress. This marigold number is quite versatile. Read more…

Yellow Crush :: Tie-Waist Pants & White Ruffle Blouse

I’m so thrilled yellow is one of the most popular colors this season! I have been wearing this sunny hue since I was a little kid and as a young teen, I gravitated toward the shade even more. It can be hard to find the right shade for you, but these yellow tie-waist pants are so flattering on so many skin tones! Plus, they are currently $25 off! First of all, the pants fit like a dream. I’m wearing size 00 Petite and while there is a little bit of room at the waist, the ability to tie the pants makes it the perfect fit. If you’re shorter than 5’4, the petite length should fit like a glove. On my 5’3 frame, these hit right above my ankles. The material is thick and high quality yet stretches and skims your body. Your legs will look so long and flattering in these tie-waist pants, promise!

Love of Sunshine :: Little Yellow Ruffle Romper

Happy Monday Y’all! Yellow never ceases to put a smile on my face. Ever since I was a little girl, this bright vibrant hue is a go-to color for me. Looking forward to spring, this little yellow ruffle romper is the perfect piece to add to your wardrobe. This color is sure to brighten your mood and make you stand out. Plus, rompers are so easy to wear. The little ruffle trim on the shorts is without a doubt my favorite aspect. The high halter neckline makes this a piece you can throw on and dress up or down. To dress this up a little bit, I’m pairing it with tan suede heels and these fun tassel earrings. However, you can also wear this little babe to a spring or summer wedding with glamorous statement earrings. To make this yellow ruffle romper more casual, you can wear loafers and a denim jacket, too. Read more…
