Why You Need a Pair of Wide-Leg Pants

You may have seen plenty of wide-leg pants popping up lately, especially on me! Wide-leg pants are very nostalgic for me. They give me the same vibes as the pants I would wear with an Ao Dai, which is a traditional Vietnamese long dress. I’m partnering with River Island on today’s post to share why you need a pair of wide-leg pants, especially for summer! Wide-leg pants are all the rage right now and these white ones are my current obsession. Wide-leg pants are extremely flattering on everyone and they really elongate you! Plus, they’re so comfortable to wear, especially in the heat because they aren’t tight or restrictive. They really let your skin breathe and keep you cool. This particular pair of wide-leg pants comes in 11 colors, including classics such as black but also fun colors such as lavender, pink and more! Read more…

Spring Brights :: The Donna Romper that Looks like a Dress

Hello My Beautiful Friends! Coastal Virginia got some incredible weather this weekend and you can say I was in heaven! It’s so nice to be able to wear dresses, rompers and shorts without being cold! Speaking of dresses and rompers, say hello to the Donna romper in this gorgeous tropical print. What I love about this romper is how it looks like a sheath dress! It’s literally the best of both worlds! The shorts or romper part underneath the skirt is cut from the same fabric but a doesn’t match the skirt exactly. It’s a fun peek-a-boo feeling if the skirt does fly up when you’re active, ha! However, when I’m wearing this Donna romper, I really don’t see the shorts at all and it looks like a dress the majority of the time.  Read more…

Spring Must-Have :: Marigold Ruffle Dress & Trench Coat

I’m a big fan of a true sunny yellow shade but this marigold ruffle dress is making me think twice. This is such a flattering color on a variety of skin tones. If you are looking to branch into yellow but are unsure of where to start, I recommend this. The ruffle detailing gives this dress a fun, feminine touch. Also, this fabric feels like a dream on. It’s a slinky weave that feels cool on the skin and doesn’t tug. I’m wearing size P in this ruffle dress and it fits quite well. There is a little bit of extra room in the bust, but it doesn’t bother me too much. The cap sleeves do have a slit in them. However, this is definitely still a very work-appropriate dress. Swap out these block heels for something a little sexier to make this a fun girls night out or date night dress. This marigold number is quite versatile. Read more…

Watching Olympic Figure Skating :: Layering Up to Stay Warm

I cannot believe how surreal the past week has been. It’s so crazy to believe more than a week ago, we traveled to PyeongChang to watch the 2018 Winter Olympic Games and Thursday night, Johnny and I watched the last even together on our sofa in the United States. It’s been the most incredible experience and there has been so darn good figure skating the past few weeks. I’ll write more on this below. I’ll be doing a full post on what you need to know about traveling to the Olympics soon along with a full travel guide, but I’m sharing some outfit snippets here. The weather wasn’t as cold as we thought, but layering up to stay warm is essential.  Read more…

Our Epic Trip to Shenandoah National Park (Part 2)

Shenandoah National Park is absolutely breathtaking. Our timing in late October was absolutely perfect and the leaves were a mix of oranges, yellows and pops of red. There are countless mountains and trails to choose from. However, Upper Hawksbill Trail is what we chose because it is one of the easier trails while also paying […] Read more…
