What to Pack for a Winter Trip in New York City

The official start of Winter is less than a week away and during our time in New York City, I got so many questions about breaking down what to pack! Even though I absolutely love winter and snow, I do not like being cold. We all hear layering is key, but how do you properly do it? What fabrics should you get? How do you really stay warm? I believe in being realistic and not sacrificing for fashion. You can totally have both! Cozy up with a hot cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa because I’m sharing what to pack for a winter trip in New York City!

Exploring the Best Views in Central Park

Hello from New York City! It’s been a bucket list item for years for Johnny and I to go to New York City during the holidays together. I have been several times before but unfortunately, he couldn’t tag along. This time, we are in the NYC for a good few days and are beyond excited to explore and check off some places we’ve been dying to visit! I’m partnering with Sole Society in today’s post to share some warm and comfortable pieces I’m wearing on my trip. Of course, you can’t go on a trip to New York without visiting Central Park. However, it’s quite vast and I want to save you some time. So I’m sharing the best views in Central Park and what I’m wearing to take in those views while staying warm.

Apple Picking at Carter Mountain Orchard

Virginia is definitely a state for lovers. Charlottesville is a charming college town with so much to offer, especially during Fall. Carter Mountain Orchard is well known for apple picking. It’s the perfect activity to do with your beau. Johnny and I had so much fun picking out our favorite apples to bring home! I highly recommend going early in the season, so you’ll get more apples to choose from! This will mean better pictures, too. These photos are from last year but I didn’t get a chance to work on them and post until it was well after apple picking season. They were part of our trip to the Virginia Mountains. If apple picking is something you’re wanting to do this fall, I’m spilling some tips, as well as the two things we wish we knew before we embarked on this adventure!

What Happens When You Drive A Tesla Model X into the Virginia Mountains (Part 1)

Visiting the mountains in Virginia was actually a priority for me when I got a job offer in Norfolk more than a year ago. I remember being blown away when Johnny and I made the cross-country trek from Nebraska. It was then I decided we had to make a trip. I got the thrilling opportunity to work with Rent an EV. Erick and Chelsea are a couple who understands the hustle and are working to build a business while helping others get a feel for driving electric vehicles. After an orientation, we got the keys to a Tesla Model X! In case it’s not obvious from my Instagram stories, Johnny and I love, love, love Tesla. It’s a goal to have one of our own, so being able to rent one was incredible. We brought along our good friend Toan, who gets credit for these stunning images…
