The Swimsuit You Need :: White High-Waisted Bikini

I’m a big fan of color, which is why this blog is called Color & Chic. However, every once in a while I do love neutrals, especially white. I have a big soft spot for a good white bikini, particularly a white high-waisted bikini. The pom poms on this bikini really add a fun touch but aren’t too much to where this bikini will be out of style soon. This is the swimsuit you need this summer because it’s a classic with a twist. The triangle top is flattering, even for smaller busts. While the high-waisted bikini is great for lengthening the legs and slimming you down. I’m wearing an XS in both the top and bottoms. The top fits well and would certainly still work for those who are more endowed than me. The bottoms are a perfect fit, too! This high-waisted bikini definitely fits true to size.

Spring Brights :: The Donna Romper that Looks like a Dress

Hello My Beautiful Friends! Coastal Virginia got some incredible weather this weekend and you can say I was in heaven! It’s so nice to be able to wear dresses, rompers and shorts without being cold! Speaking of dresses and rompers, say hello to the Donna romper in this gorgeous tropical print. What I love about this romper is how it looks like a sheath dress! It’s literally the best of both worlds! The shorts or romper part underneath the skirt is cut from the same fabric but a doesn’t match the skirt exactly. It’s a fun peek-a-boo feeling if the skirt does fly up when you’re active, ha! However, when I’m wearing this Donna romper, I really don’t see the shorts at all and it looks like a dress the majority of the time.

Coffee Culture at Anmok Beach in Team USA Gear

Happy Monday Y’all! Johnny and I are having an absolute blast in Gangneung while we are here for the 2018 Winter Olympics! It’s absolutely surreal to think we’ve been here for a few days and have witnessed history! Our first event was the Men’s Figure Skating and if you follow me on Instagram you know it’s been a crazy roller coaster! On Sunday (in Korea, Saturday for those in the United States), Johnny and I didn’t have any events. Gangneung is third largest coastal community in South Korea and the beaches did not disappoint. Early in the morning, we went to Anmok Beach. Coffee culture in South Korea is very strong, so it’s not surprising the street parallel to the beach is called Coffee Street. Almost every retail space sells coffee and there is even a coffee festival!

Endless Summer :: Striped Two-Piece Set

Happy Monday, y’all! First up, I’m on day eight of my work marathon week and still going strong, I think! We are a bit short staffed at the station, plus with it being August, folks are taking their well-deserved vacations. Therefore, those of us who are on deck are really really working, ha! Speaking of, I cannot believe we are halfway through August! Luckily, living in Coastal Virginia means summer lasts beyond the official end date. If I’m not working, I love dressing as if I’m on vacation because let’s face it, I kind of am. This striped two-piece set is to die for and absolutely perfect for summer. Plus, it’s a complete steal at only $33! The fabric is linen, which I adore during summer. However, something to keep in mind is there is no stretch in the fabric. This set also comes in blue and white stripes.

Beach Moments :: Colorful Romper + Matching Earrings

I love when a romper looks like a dress and this Karlie colorful romper is exactly that. Colorful prints are right up my alley and this one screams summer. This is also my way of not accepting summer is starting to wind down. The business in the front and party in the back approach is one of my favorite aspects. This colorful romper is a wrap silhouette, which is ultra flattering for many body shapes. The fabric is a flowy, yet weighty spandex jersey, so it hugs the body, but isn’t too heavy for summer. Online reviews rave about it and I can definitely see why! The v-neck is the perfect mix between low and high, while the length of the romper overall is just right. A few reviews say it is a little flirty and short, so I would say if you’re taller than 5’7, take this into consideration.
