Evergreen Style :: Saltwater Duck Boots for Cold Weater

Hello Everyone! I cannot believe in Coastal Virginia we have a 60 percent chance of snow today! I love being able to get a little white magic every winter but am thankful heavy blizzards are mostly behind me. I remember being in Nebraska in what felt like -25 and plenty of snow. There is nothing I hate more than cold wet feet. I feel like it’s the fastest way to be cold all over and is an instant mood dampener. Over the years, I’ve worn numerous boots. However, these Sperry saltwater duck boots are some of my favorites. These are adaptable, so no matter where you go from rugged landscapes to snow mountains you will stay comfortable. One of my favorite aspects of these saltwater duck boots is the rubber sole, which provides traction on wet or dry surfaces. Trust me, there slipping and falling isn’t fun. Read more…

Touches of Gold :: Balloon Sleeve Dress + Block Heel Boots

Happy November 1st! It’s no surprise I love sweater dresses, so I’m acquiring more and more. This River Island balloon sleeve dress comes in the most beautiful gold color. Mostly acrylic, this knit is a medium weight fabric and can keep you warm on crisp days. It’s cozy and soft to the touch, not itchy or uncomfortable. Of course, the balloon sleeves are my favorite detail on this dress. It adds a whimsical touch while being understated. Another detail I love is the inverted seam detailing throughout this balloon sleeve dress. It’s simple but really helps make the dress pop and gives it texture. When I was younger, I hated turtlenecks. I’m not quite sure what it was about them. Needless to say, I have grown out of that. Sometimes, scarves get in the way if it’s super windy, so high necks keep me warm. Read more…

Blush Lace up Sweater + Pink Chanel

Happy Monday Friends! I’m a big fan of the lace up trend, so of course, a lace up sweater is one of my most-loved pieces for fall. This particular sweater comes in four colors, however, the blush is my favorite. The chunky knit and oversize fit make this lace up sweater a super cozy and comfy choice this fall. The lace up detailing in the back is the star and a nice surprise feature. Completely adjustable, you can make this lace up sweater as tight or as loose as you want. One of my favorite ways to wear it is with side off the shoulder. However, you can definitely lace it up a bit tighter to have it on both shoulders. Plus, this sweater is also on sale for less than $40! The hunter green is a nice choice, too.  Read more…
