PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics Travel Diary

If you ever get the chance to attend the Winter Olympics, take it! The spirit of countries coming together to witness history, the camaraderie of cheering on your country and the fight of athletes is truly remarkable. The entire world gathers to hear athletes’ stories – of passions ignited, of triumphant moments, of endless sacrifice and unconditional love. It’s something you can feel whether you’re in the arena, at the alpine heights or taking in the host city. Johnny and I feel truly blessed to watch moments when work met victory and love met pride. One of my favorite quotes is from the opening film of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino Italy and I’d like to share it here. “Greatness is born of fearless visions and unconditional devotions.” Here is our PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics travel diary.

Coffee Culture at Anmok Beach in Team USA Gear

Happy Monday Y’all! Johnny and I are having an absolute blast in Gangneung while we are here for the 2018 Winter Olympics! It’s absolutely surreal to think we’ve been here for a few days and have witnessed history! Our first event was the Men’s Figure Skating and if you follow me on Instagram you know it’s been a crazy roller coaster! On Sunday (in Korea, Saturday for those in the United States), Johnny and I didn’t have any events. Gangneung is third largest coastal community in South Korea and the beaches did not disappoint. Early in the morning, we went to Anmok Beach. Coffee culture in South Korea is very strong, so it’s not surprising the street parallel to the beach is called Coffee Street. Almost every retail space sells coffee and there is even a coffee festival!

Here’s my Charleston travel guide for a weekend in the charming city. You are sure to leave feeling warm from all the southern hospitality and delicious food! Not to mention the desire to go back!

Coming Up Roses :: Floral Dress with Pockets

I hope y’all aren’t tired of seeing Charleston in these fashion posts because I have one left! I packed extra outfits because of how picturesque everything is. This Kate Spade floral dress with pockets is one of my favorite dresses, ever. Typically, I am not a fan of full skirts, but I couldn’t resist this one! The rose pattern is beautiful with mixes of reds and pinks. Personally, I feel like the black color-blocking really tones this dress down and makes it easier to wear outside of special occasions. If you are heading to a wedding this fall, I highly recommend this dress. I wore this dress for both work, reporting was so easy with the pockets, and for a cocktail dinner. Plus, I threw on my Chanel espadrilles for walking around South of Broad in Charleston in this dress and for a more casual look.
