Exploring Rattlesnake Lake During Winter

Picturesque is the only way I can think of describing Rattlesnake Lake. Being able to see this exquisite spot was something I definitely wanted to check off my list when visiting the Pacific Northwest. I’ve been longing to see snow all winter and even though Johnny and I missed the snowstorm, there was still plenty left. When we finally arrived the view was breathtaking. Exploring Rattlesnake Lake is the perfect addition for a trip to Seattle. The temperatures were not bad at all. Only just above freezing, which without the wind, is quite nice. We arrived just before 3:00 p.m. and there were a few families exploring and of course, some photography sessions.

What to Pack for a Winter Trip in New York City

The official start of Winter is less than a week away and during our time in New York City, I got so many questions about breaking down what to pack! Even though I absolutely love winter and snow, I do not like being cold. We all hear layering is key, but how do you properly do it? What fabrics should you get? How do you really stay warm? I believe in being realistic and not sacrificing for fashion. You can totally have both! Cozy up with a hot cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa because I’m sharing what to pack for a winter trip in New York City!

PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics Travel Diary

If you ever get the chance to attend the Winter Olympics, take it! The spirit of countries coming together to witness history, the camaraderie of cheering on your country and the fight of athletes is truly remarkable. The entire world gathers to hear athletes’ stories – of passions ignited, of triumphant moments, of endless sacrifice and unconditional love. It’s something you can feel whether you’re in the arena, at the alpine heights or taking in the host city. Johnny and I feel truly blessed to watch moments when work met victory and love met pride. One of my favorite quotes is from the opening film of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino Italy and I’d like to share it here. “Greatness is born of fearless visions and unconditional devotions.” Here is our PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics travel diary.

Watching Olympic Figure Skating :: Layering Up to Stay Warm

I cannot believe how surreal the past week has been. It’s so crazy to believe more than a week ago, we traveled to PyeongChang to watch the 2018 Winter Olympic Games and Thursday night, Johnny and I watched the last even together on our sofa in the United States. It’s been the most incredible experience and there has been so darn good figure skating the past few weeks. I’ll write more on this below. I’ll be doing a full post on what you need to know about traveling to the Olympics soon along with a full travel guide, but I’m sharing some outfit snippets here. The weather wasn’t as cold as we thought, but layering up to stay warm is essential.

Olympic Pride :: Team USA Gear for PyeongChang 2018

It is still so surreal to me. While you are reading this blog post, Johnny and I are on board a plane flying to Seoul, South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics! You may recall I mentioned in this post this is truly the trip of a lifetime. As a former competitive figure skater being able to go to the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and witness history happen is indescribable. Johnny’s willingness to help make my dream come true makes me feel so loved. A few weeks ago, Bumble asked me to share what Love Equals means to me and I couldn’t think of a better example than Johnny helping me put together this trip. He knows how important going to the Olympics was to me and did everything possible to make it a reality. Love equals helping someone else’s dream come true
