The Perfect Crop Top for Summer :: Mint Tie Strap Top

Happy Monday y’all! We got some gorgeous weather in Coastal Virginia this weekend. Looking forward to summer, I have a feeling this is going to be one of my summer uniforms. This mint tie strap top is the perfect crop top for summer. The length isn’t too short or too long, which is great for petite ladies. The tie straps with bows add a nice flirty and feminine touch, too. Also, I love how the ruffle top is layered, which is incredibly flattering for the bust area. This top also comes in black, too! Quality wise, the fabric is a dream to steam, ha! Plus, it is a nice weight and isn’t sheer or flimsy. One of the reasons it’s the perfect crop top for summer is it’s lined but doesn’t feel heavy. The tie straps allow you to really make this top fit perfectly for you, too.  Read more…

Happy Wednesday Y’all! Gosh, the weather in Coastal Virginia the past few days have been phenomenal! I’m remembering exactly why I love to live here, ha! I snatched up this adorable top with floral tie cuff sleeves during a big sale thinking it would be great for spring. Surprisingly enough, it’s great for work, too, which is always a great discovery. It’s a super soft cotton material and the swoon-worthy floral tie cuff sleeves are bracelet length. Plus, since it’s more form-fitting, it’s perfect for tucking into pants or skirts if you would like! I’m wearing size XXS Petite and it fits me perfectly. I also found a similar style top with an extra 40% off, making it $18! What a steal! Read more…

Blossoms :: The Best Shorts & Making a Difference

Beautiful blossoms make me so so happy! Coastal Virginia has a good amount of beautiful pink blossoms right now and it makes me so so happy. This usually also means shorts weather, which is ideal since I’ve been waiting for spring to finally show up! These are the best shorts are perfect for spring and summer and they are less than $50! I love how they are just a little distressed. Plus, they’re high-waisted, which is so flattering. I love these with a cute top or tank, such as this turquoise button down cami. It’s also a great coverup for one piece swimsuits when you are at the beach! A good pair of shorts is a must have for this season. Other great pairs I’m loving are these cuffed ones and these frayed ones. Read more…

Feminine & Edgy :: Crochet Lace Top with Leather Shorts

I am swooning over this feminine white lace crochet top. It has everything I love, including romantic lace, statement sleeves, high neck and bow ties in the back! I love getting statement tops such as this one in neutral colors so I can easily wear them over and over. The details on this top are truly to die for and look so much more expensive than it is. The crochet lace is incredibly well done and has a nice stiffness to it. However, the top itself isn’t rigid. I love the high neckline and the extra detailing, which feels elegant and sophisticated. While the front of this white top is fun, the back is absolutely adorable! You tie the back into three bows to literally finish off the top with a bow. Also, this top comes as two separate pieces. The crochet lace portion and a white cami underneath.  Read more…

Mixing in Fall :: Purple Balloon Sleeve Sweater

Happy Wednesday Y’all! While the weather is still fickle in Coastal Virginia, for the most part, things are cooling down. Transition pieces are still necessary for me, since some days it’s almost 90 degrees and some days it’s a crisp 60 degrees. This purple balloon sleeve sweater can easily be worn with shorts, skirts or jeans, depending on the weather. The color is incredibly eye-catching, yet easy to style. Balloon sleeves are a trend from last winter. However, they are sticking around and I’m really enjoying it. One aspect I really like about this purple balloon sleeve sweater is how the sleeve is cinched, so I don’t have to worry about it getting dirty or accidentally dipping itself into anything. This knit is ideal for fall because it’s not too thick. Even though it’s not wool or cashmere, it works super well as a transition piece. Read more…
