Valentine’s Day Vibes :: Styling a Red Faux Fur Jacket

While Johnny and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, I still get excited about it. I enjoy getting in the spirit by wearing plenty of reds and pinks. This red faux fur jacket adds instant glam factor and makes almost every outfit chic. Styling faux fur jackets can be a little difficult. You don’t want to look too over the top, or at least I don’t. To make sure the faux jur jacket is the statement piece, I’m choosing casual pieces everywhere else. A simple pink sweater underneath keeps my body heat close and blocks out the cold. To keep the look more casual, I’m going with gray jeans. These are extremely soft, stretchy and comfortable to wear. Plus, I love the story behind this brand, but more on that in another post. Winter Warm :: The Best Winter Boots

I take winter weather very seriously, especially when temperatures dip below freezing! My Mom taught me when your feet and hands are cold, you will be cold. Trust me, through hills and more than waist-high (on petite me, anyway) piles of snow, these are the best winter boots. Not to mention, the rubber soles provide traction. Read more…

Traveling to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics :: Trip of a Lifetime

Johnny and I are so excited to announce we are taking the trip of a lifetime to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics! Being able to witness a Winter Olympics has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. A five-year-old version of me fell in love with figure skating during a Dallas Galleria Christmas Ice Show. I begged my parents to take me skating, but they didn’t have the money. Plus, they thought my fascination would go away. It didn’t. Three years later, I’m still begging, so my older sister decided to take me. It’s going to sound so cliche, but it was love at first step. I wouldn’t get off the ice. To me, skating feels like flying. A few competitions later, my family and I started to take figure skating very seriously. That is how an 11-year journey starts… Read more…
