The Striped Transition Sweater You Need for Fall

Labor Day is a week away, which means fall’s arrival is on the way! I absolutely love summer and I’m sad to see it go. However, there are some key pieces I love to rely on to transition into fall. This striped transition sweater is the perfect way to ease into fall. The color block stripes are a fun trend from summer. Plus, you can tuck this sweater into shorts for cooler summer nights. I can easily see myself throwing this over a swimsuit after watching a sunset at the beach. Or you can wear it when you’re in chilly restaurants or grocery stores when you’re running errands. I’m wearing a size US 2, which fits like a size 0-2. This sweater is meant to fit a little boxy and oversized. It’s also perfect for layering as I like to wear an extra cashmere layer underneath to stay extra warm when it’s cold. Read more…

Summer Style :: Polka Dot Two-Piece Set

Hello, Everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely Memorial Day Weekend. While you are all enjoying the sun, tasty food on the grill and time with loved ones, please remember the true reason for this holiday. Memorial Day is to remember all the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the armed forces. It’s to remember freedom isn’t free. We are able to enjoy time at the lake or the beach today because someone else made sacrifices for us. I love holidays where we can wear patriotic colors and be proud to be American. Finding Americana pieces are always super fun for me. You all may know I have some pieces of patriotic clothing I adore, including my All-American Girl tank.  Read more…

Beach Vibes :: My Favorite Sandals for Summer

One of the best parts of living in Coastal Virginia is being so close to the beach. It truly makes me feel so grateful and inspires me each time I’m there. Summer is a time for adventure, exploring and trying new things. Today, I’m partnering with DSW to share my favorite sandals for summer and to talk to about where I hope they’ll take me. Before moving to Coastal Virginia, I didn’t really care for sandals, which is crazy to me! Between traveling, heading to the beach or just popping out of my apartment to pick up food, I prioritize comfort. That’s why these DSW sandals are my favorite sandals for summer. They’re so comfortable because unlike other sandals, they have a little bit of arch support. I appreciate how I can just slide them on and be ready to go. During summer, I want to soak up the beautiful weather, which means I don’t want to spend time putting on shoes before going outside! Read more…

My Summer Beach Beauty Essentials

Hello my beautiful friends! I hope your week is going well so far. Since we are kicking off beach weather in Coastal Virginia, I want to share my beach beauty essentials. These are items I love to bring to the beach to keep my skin healthy and at its best. It’s so important to take your skin’s health very seriously. Take a little time to get your skin ready for the sun and you can enjoy your time soaking up that vitamin sea! There is nothing worse than coming home from the beach with sunburned, peeling and dehydrated skin. It’s not a good look and will most certainly age you rapidly. We don’t want that! Of course, in conjunction with these beach beauty essentials, don’t forget to drink tons of water to stay hydrated from the inside out! Now, let’s get to the essentials! Read more…

Morning in Charleston :: Bodycon Dress + Sleeveless Shawl

October is here, which also means so is cozy sweater weather! I love a crisp morning with a hot cup of coffee in hand. This gray sleeveless shawl is becoming a wardrobe staple I reach for when I’m unsure of how the weather is going to be. While sleeveless, the 100 percent acrylic fabric is cozy and keeps me warm. My sister and I got a little eager on this Charleston trip, so we packed a little bit of everything. Plus, weather can change, ha! This gray sleeveless shawl was perfect for cool mornings and evenings in Charleston, which hover around the mid-60s. However, it also works for the afternoons, which can reach the 80s. I love how the fabric flows and looks great over dresses, skirts and with jeans. Read more…
