Winter White :: Slouchy Tunic & Over the Knee Boots

This white slouchy tunic has an effortless silhouette that’s perfect for winter. Of course, I’m a huge fan of winter whites, so this is no surprise. One of the aspects I really appreciate about this tunic is how you can dress it up or down. I’m taking a slightly dressier approach here with black pants, over the knee boots and statement earrings. However, another great look would be to pair this tunic with athletic leggings, a fun pair of sneakers and throw your hair into a ponytail or bun. If this tunic looks a little familiar, it’s because I wore it in a bright red on Instagram more than a month ago. It’s such a goodie, I had to get it in white!

Cold Kickoff :: Fair Isle Sweater Dress

Happy Monday! For those who dealt with frigid temperatures over the past few days, I feel you! Ever since touching down in Norfolk, it’s been wall to wall coverage of the bomb cyclone hitting the east coast. Not to mention, it’s been so, so cold. This cold-weather outfit is my go-to when temperatures dip below freezing. I’ll be doing a more thorough post shortly.
I snagged this fair isle sweater dress on sale before heading home to Dallas a few weeks ago. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about it. Plus, it’s still on sale! It’s 70 percent acrylic and 30 percent wool, which keeps you very warm. Read more…

Blush Lace up Sweater + Pink Chanel

Happy Monday Friends! I’m a big fan of the lace up trend, so of course, a lace up sweater is one of my most-loved pieces for fall. This particular sweater comes in four colors, however, the blush is my favorite. The chunky knit and oversize fit make this lace up sweater a super cozy and comfy choice this fall. The lace up detailing in the back is the star and a nice surprise feature. Completely adjustable, you can make this lace up sweater as tight or as loose as you want. One of my favorite ways to wear it is with side off the shoulder. However, you can definitely lace it up a bit tighter to have it on both shoulders. Plus, this sweater is also on sale for less than $40! The hunter green is a nice choice, too.  Read more…

Comfy Tie-Sleeve Sweatshirt for Fall

Happy Monday Y’all! While you’re reading this, I’m most likely in Puerto Rico, doing a story on a local foundation doing disaster relief there. I previously got the chance to fly to Texas with this same foundation when they provided relief to Hurricane Harvey victims. I know Puerto Rico will be a lot different and I’ll be sure to share it with y’all soon!

Sweaters have a really soft spot in my heart. I seem to collect more each season, yet they are all unique and different from one another. This olive tie-sleeve sweatshirt is cropped and super soft. As you may know, cropped silhouettes are great for petite ladies. This one hovers around my belly button and I’m 5’3 with an average torso length. I love the casual feel and slightly oversize look. Plus, you can also wear it off one shoulder, if you like! The fabric is a cozy knit that’s 100 percent cotton, so you know it’s soft. The raw-cut edges are a nice touch, too, especially for fall. Tie-sleeves are really on trend right now and these scream boho chic. This olive tie-sleeve sweatshirt would be great with a cute velvet or corduroy skirt, too. Also, this sweatshirt comes in ivory and blush, so olive isn’t the only color. Read more…

Beach Day :: Darlin’ Cover-up Dress + White Swimsuit

More than a year into my move to Coastal Virginia, I like to think my beach style is where it needs to be. One of the things I’ve learned is to have fuss-free outfits. That’s why I love this darling Draper James cover-up dress. Y’all this dress is next level, especially for the beach or the pool. I love the airy cotton voile fabric along with the delicate lattice inset trim. It’s a looser fit, which is great for taking on and off with a swimsuit underneath. There aren’t any zippers, so I’m very impressed with the ease of getting this dress on and off. However, it also gently skims over the body and has shape. The charming blue color is like a quintessential beach or pool color. Plus, this Draper James cover-up dress is lined, so you can wear any swimsuit underneath without it showing through!

P.S. this look is featured on Love, Reese, which is Reese Witherspoon’s blog. It’s a place for her to share what she loves most about the South, so I would love it if you check it out! Read more…
