Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Finds :: Balloon Sleeve Sweater & Jeans for $52

Happy Wednesday y’all! On Wednesdays, we wear pink, and this orchid balloon sleeve sweater couldn’t be more perfect. The color is technically called orchid but it’s a very vibrant cool-toned pink, not purple at all. This sweater is $52 and has the most perfect slouchy fit. I love the slightly cropped length, which also makes it easy to throw on. This balloon sleeve sweater oozes this laid-back vibe. You can wear it as a regular v-neck sweater or you can pull one shoulder down. Both ways of stying are appealing to me and depending on the weather, I’ll go for one more than the other. Since this sweater has such a classic feel, it comes in multiple colors. You can get it in red, cream, gold, sky blue or black. I did get the cream color to try but I’m keeping the orchid color.

Summer Outfit Idea :: Easy Wide-Leg Floral Jumpsuit

As a petite woman, I love when clothing pieces make me look taller. This purple floral jumpsuit elongates an incredible amount. Plus, it’s such a statement piece. At times, it actually looks like a maxi dress because of how wide and flowy the legs on this floral jumpsuit are. I’m not going to lie, the legs are extremely wide. However, the smocked top really balances it out. This is such a flattering jumpsuit and I couldn’t recommend it more for summer. The tie straps are adjustable to what you want, which is really nice. Also, the pants have pockets at the hip! Huge win, ha! If you are petite, be warned you may need to get this hemmed. However, I promise you this floral jumpsuit is worth it. I absolutely love the purple and how the white really pops off of it. This jumpsuit also comes in black and red, too.

Hustle :: The Power Within and How I Style My Hair

I’m a big believer we all have something to offer this world. We all have to know our value and should bring that to each day. T3 Micro asked me to be part of their Power Within Campaign and I was honored to say yes! This campaign is about sharing our unique story and experiences defining who we are. They asked me what’s my “Empoword”, aka what ignites my inner spirit and inspires me to feel confident. The word empowering me most is hustle.

For as long as I can remember, my parents taught me the best thing I can do is work hard, really really hard. Not only did they teach me this, they lived it. My whole family immigrated to the U.S. from Communist Vietnam. My Dad, a former South Vietnamese soldier was in a concentration camp. When they arrived in Texas, they immediately started working. My Dad worked at 7-Eleven overnight while attending college. My Mom worked as a tailor at the Crescent Hotel while also going to school. They both raised three kids while doing this. When my Dad was able to get a better job, his 7-Eleven had to hire seven people to replace just him. Now that is hustling. You cannot control how much raw talent you have or your abilities, but you certainly can work extremely hard to make up for it.
