Cold Weather Chic :: Velvet Pants for the Desk to Dinner

I hardly ever wear pants to work, but these navy velvet pants are making me rethink that. It’s no surprise velvet is still living out its moment. I love the lean silhouette of how these velvet pants are cut. There are off-seam pockets, which is a must-have for me. Plus, the way the pants are tailored looks and feels custom. I appreciate the contoured waistband, which helps with fit. I’m wearing a size 00 Petite and it actually runs just a dash big on me. Hence, my belt, which is also big for me, ha! There’s a little bit of smoke and mirrors going on here. Don’t worry, I plan on getting the belt fixed! I’m clearly having some petite girl struggles. Morning in Charleston :: Bodycon Dress + Sleeveless Shawl

October is here, which also means so is cozy sweater weather! I love a crisp morning with a hot cup of coffee in hand. This gray sleeveless shawl is becoming a wardrobe staple I reach for when I’m unsure of how the weather is going to be. While sleeveless, the 100 percent acrylic fabric is cozy and keeps me warm. My sister and I got a little eager on this Charleston trip, so we packed a little bit of everything. Plus, weather can change, ha! This gray sleeveless shawl was perfect for cool mornings and evenings in Charleston, which hover around the mid-60s. However, it also works for the afternoons, which can reach the 80s. I love how the fabric flows and looks great over dresses, skirts and with jeans. Read more…

Lavender Dreams :: Summer’s Must Have Floral Lace Dress

Floral dresses have a sweet spot in my heart. This lavender floral lace dress is absolutely darling and perfect for warm weather special occasions. Wedding season is in full swing and this would be great to wear if you’re a wedding guest. It’s an easy dress to throw on and with the right accessories, including pearl earrings, you have the perfect ensemble. The floral lace is delicate, elegant and so feminine. Plus, this dress is less than $55, so you won’t break the bank. What initially drew me to this particular dress is how intricate the lace pattern is. The quality is better than I expected, which is a plus! A great factor is this dress is lined, except for the sleeves. I also love the higher neckline, so you can be more carefree. Read more…

Summer Fresh :: Lemon Print Skirt with a Button Down

I’m a huge fan of anything lemon. For example, I drink hot water and lemon first thing in the morning. I put lemon slices in my water bottle. Plus, lemon sorbet is one of my favorite flavors. If a bakery has lemon macarons or lemon bars, I’m down. Therefore, it’s no surprise this Morning Lavender lemon print skirt is in my wardrobe… Read more…
