Fall Florals :: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Outfit

Happy Monday Y’all! This weekend was a busy one for me. Lots of blog work with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access going on, seeing friends and catching up on much-needed sleep! Shoutout to my blogger babe Maria Luke of Millenial Fashionista and her husband Parker, okay mainly Paker, for taking these photos of me!  We were blessed with slightly cooler weather, so shooting these fall looks weren’t as bad!

I know so many items are already sold out in the sale. Therefore, in this fall florals look, I’m focusing on items all fully in stock with multiple sizes available. This floral blouse has the prettiest ruffle sleeve details. I love this blouse because it’s perfect for work and wearing casually too. It has short sleeves, so it’s something you can definitely wear now. I love the darker tones, which gives it the fall florals look. When temperatures get chilly, throw on this cardigan for extra warmth. I love this coral color is a more affordable alternative to the ever-popular merino wool cardigan the past two years of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. While the cardigan I’m wearing above is 100 percent cotton, that’s reflective in the $32 price point. However, to make up for it, it’s available in six colors! Definitely snap this one up for summer nights or fall.  Read more…

Lavender Off-the-Shoulder Top for Spring + I’m 27!

I’m officially 27-years-old! Woo! My birthday was this past weekend and if you follow me on Instagram, you know the weather sucked, unbelievably. However, I took the stormy day to spend time indoors, relax a little and get a bunch of things done. It was actually quite nice since Johnny paid for me to get take out and I didn’t have to cook! The weather may have been gray but my mindset was and continues to be so sunny. A lot happened while I was 26. I was on an emotional roller coaster with my Dad’s traumatic brain injury and I had to go through a lot of emotional challenges. Honestly, many of them I didn’t think I would face until my 40’s. However, every bad moment makes me grateful for the good ones. I’m stronger physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m more passionate about what I do. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for 27!  Read more…

The Perfect White Lace Blouse

Since spring is starting to show up on the East Coast a bit, I’m celebrating with this all white look, including this perfect white lace blouse. One aspect I love is how well done all of the crochet lace is. You can truly see the quality in this top and feel it when you wear it. This top comes with a cami underneath, too. The sleeves have a little flair for the dramatic because they are a little bit extra, but I love it! I really like high-neck blouses and the detailing around the neck are beautiful. To better show off these details, I went with more subtle earrings and these ear climbers are the perfect touch. While I usually prefer dangling earrings or statement earrings, these are a nice touch with the fun colors and shape.  Read more…

Hearts of Pom :: Knit Your Love Cardigan

Happy Monday Y’all! I’m going to be honest, I did not watch the Super Bowl, but I do love the Eagles win because they’re underdogs! A good underdog story is always appealing to me. Perhaps it’s because almost every time I competed I was the underdog.

I’m sad Punxsutawney Phil predicts another six weeks of winter! I don’t mind winter, but I would like for temperatures to be warmer than the 30s! Plus, I’ll be getting plenty of that in PyeongChang and Gangneung when Johnny and I are there for the 2018 Winter Olympics! That’s where this wine knit your love cardigan comes in handy. The pom poms are in a heart shape, so this is perfect leading up to Valentine’s Day. Plus, it’s 100 percent acrylic, which is a nice cozy and warm fabric. This is a great layering piece, whether it’s over a tank, like I am here, or with a thinner sweater. Keep in mind, this piece is hand knit, so there are some gaps where wind can cut through. This isn’t the warmest cardigan, but it’ll do for mild winter temps. Read more…
