Diamond Shapes 101 :: Carats & Coffee with JamesAllen.com

I’m sure it’s no surprise Johnny and I love coffee. Nowadays when Johnny and I are together, we love setting up shop in a cafe sipping on coffee and getting work done. When we first met, we loved exploring coffee shops in Dallas. Then Austin when we went to the University of Texas. That love for coffee continues now when we travel, whether it’s to faraway places including Seoul or a few hours away such as Washington, D.C. I feel as if a cup of coffee is such a great bonding experience. It sets up the mood for whatever you’d like to talk about, good or bad. In this case, we’d like to talk to you about something good and sparkly: carats!

Our Formula of Love & Designing Your Own Engagement Ring

Even though we are a while away from getting engaged, we think about it frequently. The idea of designing your own engagement ring is becoming more popular. I certainly want Johnny to have a hand in how my engagement ring looks! If you are soon-to-be engaged, I’m sure you are looking at rings and learning about your style and taste. James Allen is a go-to retailer for designing your own engagement ring. In fact, years ago when a friend of mine wanted a tension ring for his wife, I recommended James Allen! Holiday Sweets :: Baked Dipping S’mores (5-Minute Recipe)

This is easily our favorite holiday recipe, hands down. We make it every winter and devour it in less than 10 minutes. In 2013, we stumbled upon this recipe by Byron Talbott and knew it was something special. Fast forward four years later and we’re still making it!  It’s a simple recipe but sure to win over the hearts of anyone you make it for. These baked dipping s’mores take about five minutes to make and are perfect for enjoying by the fire or while cozying up with a cute Christmas movie. Speaking of, the Christmas Prince on Netflix is so bad it’s so good, ha! I don’t like the representation of journalism on it, but other than that soooo worth watching, ha…

Southern Style for Fall :: Blue Meadow Vines Blouse

When it comes to blouses for work, I love soft fabrics I can easily manipulate. That way I can weather them over pants or tuck them into skirts without an issue. This blue meadow vines blouse is perfect for fall. The lace yoke neckline is an instant eyecatcher. Plus, I love how it extends to the shoulders, too. This blouse is lightweight, so you can wear it on its own, or underneath blazers or cardigans if it’s chilly. I always have this problem at work, so I love how chic it looks underneath layers. The vine print is sweet and southern, yet sophisticated enough for the office. I’m wearing a size 0 and it fits well while also being easy to take on and off for a blouse without stretch. I’m styling it casually here with leggings and booties.
