Cable Knit Sweater & Paper Bag Mini Skirt

Hey Y’all! This is so crazy there are only a few days left in 2017! I’m so ready for 2018 to arrive and for all the exciting things I have planned. It’s much colder in Dallas than I had anticipated. I’m living in cozy sweaters so I love being able to tuck them into a cute skirt such as this gingham paper bag mini skirt. WHBM Petites :: Gingham Top + Distressed Jeans

Being 5’3, I love when a brand introduces a petites collection! Over the years, I’ve grown accustomed to adding in an alterations budget when I shop for clothes. A lot of the items I wear need to be altered in some way, usually, a hem will do. However, sometimes an item requires extensive work. I love White House Black Market because they have items you can wear both to work and on the weekends. Now, there is WHBM Petites and I could not be happier! Their petite clothing is for women who are 5’4 or shorter, regardless of their size. So what makes an item petite? It’ll have a shortened sleeve, narrowed shoulders, raised waist, shorter skirt length and a reduced pant inseam. Yay for putting my alterations budget toward my savings!  Read more…
