Holiday Red :: The Ruffle Dress You Need to Buy + Discount Code!

We are one week out from Thanksgiving so that means I hope you’re ready to see plenty of holiday looks. Express is sponsoring today’s post all about how to best ‘Express Your Gift’ this Holiday season. It may come as no surprise red is my favorite holiday color. This ruffle dress has a fit and flare silhouette that’s ultra flattering. Plus, it’s effortless to wear because you can throw it on and know you look great. I’m wearing an XS in regular sizing, but this dress also comes in petite sizing, too! I love the subtle shine of this fabric, which makes it perfect for the holidays. This dress also comes in more than four colors, including a dark emerald and stunning gold. Aside from the flirty ruffles, the faux wrap skirt is my favorite feature. It’s feminine and adds volume without being over dramatic… Read more…

Workwear Chic :: Pearl Top and Tapered Pants

I am one of those people who work 24/7. I absolutely love what I do whether it’s being a journalist or finding clothes to help women feel confident.  As you may know, I prefer dresses at work since they are one piece. However, I’m branching out and sharing a great option for the office featuring pants. These River Island tapered pants are so flattering. They really elongate and slim the legs. That’s something this petite gal can get on board with. At first, I thought these could look off, but they look great. River Island’s website calls this color dark gray. However, they are more taupe to me. This color is so versatile and you can wear it all year. I’m wearing size US 2 and they fit so well. If anything, I could hem them an inch, but they look just fine without… Read more…

Happy Monday Y’all! I hope you’re enjoying the extra hour daylight saving time has given us. I know I sure am appreciating it! There are more than six weeks left until Christmas and I’m not sure about Y’all, but I’m in the Holiday mood! This Lilly Pulitzer silk tunic dress is perfect for any upcoming parties or dinners. It comes with a swing silhouette and the layers on the sleeve give it a slight dramatic flair. The square v-neckline is exquisitely embellished with both sparkly stones and detailed embroidery. This silk tunic dress definitely makes a glamorous statement and will make you feel confident and powerful. Plus, the silk has some stretch to it, so it’s quite comfortable to wear. Not to mention, maintenance is low-key. A quick pass with my steamer and this dress is completely wrinkle free… Read more…

Touches of Gold :: Balloon Sleeve Dress + Block Heel Boots

Happy November 1st! It’s no surprise I love sweater dresses, so I’m acquiring more and more. This River Island balloon sleeve dress comes in the most beautiful gold color. Mostly acrylic, this knit is a medium weight fabric and can keep you warm on crisp days. It’s cozy and soft to the touch, not itchy or uncomfortable. Of course, the balloon sleeves are my favorite detail on this dress. It adds a whimsical touch while being understated. Another detail I love is the inverted seam detailing throughout this balloon sleeve dress. It’s simple but really helps make the dress pop and gives it texture. When I was younger, I hated turtlenecks. I’m not quite sure what it was about them. Needless to say, I have grown out of that. Sometimes, scarves get in the way if it’s super windy, so high necks keep me warm. Read more…
