Hello Winter :: The Perfect Trench Skirt

Happy Friday and first of December, Y’all! This outfit features one of my favorite new pieces, which is perfect year round. This Chicwish trench skirt comes in a gorgeous berry color and is currently more than 30 percent off! I love how it resembles a classic trench coat in skirt form. Of course, it comes with a removable belt or sash, just like with a trench coat. I love tying the bow on the side with the diagonal flap because it gives an elongated look. To get my bow just right, I use the bunny ears technique, by the way. The flap design is very flattering on because it gives the illusion of a slimmer waist. The four buttons are simply for decoration but add the chic trench style look. Fully lined with a hidden zipper in the back, this skirt comes in size XXS to Large.  Read more…

A Little Fancy :: Mint Frill Sleeve Embellished Dress

Mint is a color I easily fall for. During college, I had this obsession with the color and owned mint everything. I have since scaled back but still adore it. If you are looking for something a little fancy, let it be this mint frill sleeve embellished dress. The completely embellished neckline is extremely well done and looks lovely. Also, the stones sparkle just right, making this an elegant look for any cocktail party or fancy function. Y’all know I love a statement sleeve and these frill sleeves are just perfect. They aren’t too big, while having the cutest ruffle detail. Plus, since the sleeves are three-quarter-length, they won’t get in your way regardless of whether you’re eating or trying to shake hands. That’s always a huge plus in my book, especially if I’m at an event and I want to network and meet new people!  Read more…

Fall Tones for His & Her :: Olive Dress + Navy Button Down

I’m truly a summer forever type of gal, especially after moving to Coastal Virginia. However, I do have to admit, I’m excited about fall’s arrival! Since it’s still quite warm in Virginia, I’m sharing some ways you can incorporate fall into your wardrobe without sweating it out. Some of my favorite fall colors this season include olive, navy, rich golds and of course, burgundy. I love wearing fall tones in summer silhouettes and pieces. Also, I cannot believe it’s been 16 years since the terrorist attacks on our country. I remember sitting in fifth-grade homeroom and our teachers turned on the TV. We watched the second plane crash into the Twin Towers live and while i was young, I knew nothing would be the same.

This olive dress looks very similar to dresses made by an expensive designer, but costs less than $100! J.O.A is one of my favorite labels because of the quality and their collection of both trendy and classic pieces. The off the shoulder silhouette keeps me cool, but the color screams fall. Plus, I love the asymmetrical neckline and decorative buttons. Its rich olive color makes this dress is the perfect way to wear fall tones, while staying cool in the summer. This dress is currently on sale for 40 percent off, which is a steal! Read more…
