Summer’s Arrival :: Strapless Gingham Dress & Tassel Earrings

Summer doesn’t officially arrive for a few weeks, but I am already in my summer mode. Is it really a weekend in Coastal Virginia if you don’t visit the beach? If I go to the beach, I’m a fan of simple and effortless dresses doubling as cover-ups. This red strapless gingham dress is a great piece for summer because it’s so versatile. There are cute buttons down the front, which make it easy for this dress to go on and off. I will add, this dress can be short if you are not petite. I’m 5’3 and as you can see this hits mid thigh. I wouldn’t recommend this for ladies who are taller than 5’6. However, for someone who is vertically challenged like me, this red gingham dress is just perfect and no alterations are needed. I really like how this dress is tiered since it breaks up the gingham print, which can get monotonous.  Read more…

Beach Vibes :: My Favorite Sandals for Summer

One of the best parts of living in Coastal Virginia is being so close to the beach. It truly makes me feel so grateful and inspires me each time I’m there. Summer is a time for adventure, exploring and trying new things. Today, I’m partnering with DSW to share my favorite sandals for summer and to talk to about where I hope they’ll take me. Before moving to Coastal Virginia, I didn’t really care for sandals, which is crazy to me! Between traveling, heading to the beach or just popping out of my apartment to pick up food, I prioritize comfort. That’s why these DSW sandals are my favorite sandals for summer. They’re so comfortable because unlike other sandals, they have a little bit of arch support. I appreciate how I can just slide them on and be ready to go. During summer, I want to soak up the beautiful weather, which means I don’t want to spend time putting on shoes before going outside! Read more…

Spring Brights :: The Donna Romper that Looks like a Dress

Hello My Beautiful Friends! Coastal Virginia got some incredible weather this weekend and you can say I was in heaven! It’s so nice to be able to wear dresses, rompers and shorts without being cold! Speaking of dresses and rompers, say hello to the Donna romper in this gorgeous tropical print. What I love about this romper is how it looks like a sheath dress! It’s literally the best of both worlds! The shorts or romper part underneath the skirt is cut from the same fabric but a doesn’t match the skirt exactly. It’s a fun peek-a-boo feeling if the skirt does fly up when you’re active, ha! However, when I’m wearing this Donna romper, I really don’t see the shorts at all and it looks like a dress the majority of the time.  Read more…

Lavender Off-the-Shoulder Top for Spring + I’m 27!

I’m officially 27-years-old! Woo! My birthday was this past weekend and if you follow me on Instagram, you know the weather sucked, unbelievably. However, I took the stormy day to spend time indoors, relax a little and get a bunch of things done. It was actually quite nice since Johnny paid for me to get take out and I didn’t have to cook! The weather may have been gray but my mindset was and continues to be so sunny. A lot happened while I was 26. I was on an emotional roller coaster with my Dad’s traumatic brain injury and I had to go through a lot of emotional challenges. Honestly, many of them I didn’t think I would face until my 40’s. However, every bad moment makes me grateful for the good ones. I’m stronger physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m more passionate about what I do. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for 27!  Read more…

Coffee Culture at Anmok Beach in Team USA Gear

Happy Monday Y’all! Johnny and I are having an absolute blast in Gangneung while we are here for the 2018 Winter Olympics! It’s absolutely surreal to think we’ve been here for a few days and have witnessed history! Our first event was the Men’s Figure Skating and if you follow me on Instagram you know it’s been a crazy roller coaster! On Sunday (in Korea, Saturday for those in the United States), Johnny and I didn’t have any events. Gangneung is third largest coastal community in South Korea and the beaches did not disappoint. Early in the morning, we went to Anmok Beach. Coffee culture in South Korea is very strong, so it’s not surprising the street parallel to the beach is called Coffee Street. Almost every retail space sells coffee and there is even a coffee festival! Read more…
