Working from home can be incredible. Your commute consists of steps instead of miles and you’ll most likely never hit traffic. You’ll always have a place to make your lunch and eat it in peace, too. However, at the same time, it can be hard to stay motivated. Being in the same spot you want to hang out and live in can make it hard to want to hustle. To help tackle this, I want to share four ways to stay motivated while working from home. No matter what kind of job you have or what your passions are, it’s important to keep fueling that fire. I hope this inspires you to get up and at ’em!
Happy Monday Y’all! This weekend was a busy one for me. Lots of blog work with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access going on, seeing friends and catching up on much-needed sleep! Shoutout to my blogger babe Maria Luke of Millenial Fashionista and her husband Parker, okay mainly Paker, for taking these photos of me! We were blessed with slightly cooler weather, so shooting these fall looks weren’t as bad!
I know so many items are already sold out in the sale. Therefore, in this fall florals look, I’m focusing on items all fully in stock with multiple sizes available. This floral blouse has the prettiest ruffle sleeve details. I love this blouse because it’s perfect for work and wearing casually too. It has short sleeves, so it’s something you can definitely wear now. I love the darker tones, which gives it the fall florals look. When temperatures get chilly, throw on this cardigan for extra warmth. I love this coral color is a more affordable alternative to the ever-popular merino wool cardigan the past two years of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. While the cardigan I’m wearing above is 100 percent cotton, that’s reflective in the $32 price point. However, to make up for it, it’s available in six colors! Definitely snap this one up for summer nights or fall.
Since spring is starting to show up on the East Coast a bit, I’m celebrating with this all white look, including this perfect white lace blouse. One aspect I love is how well done all of the crochet lace is. You can truly see the quality in this top and feel it when you wear it. This top comes with a cami underneath, too. The sleeves have a little flair for the dramatic because they are a little bit extra, but I love it! I really like high-neck blouses and the detailing around the neck are beautiful. To better show off these details, I went with more subtle earrings and these ear climbers are the perfect touch. While I usually prefer dangling earrings or statement earrings, these are a nice touch with the fun colors and shape.
Even though we are a while away from getting engaged, we think about it frequently. The idea of designing your own engagement ring is becoming more popular. I certainly want Johnny to have a hand in how my engagement ring looks! If you are soon-to-be engaged, I’m sure you are looking at rings and learning about your style and taste. James Allen is a go-to retailer for designing your own engagement ring. In fact, years ago when a friend of mine wanted a tension ring for his wife, I recommended James Allen! You want your engagement ring to be perfect for you. All of us are different, which means our engagement ring should reflect that…
I hardly ever wear pants to work, but these navy velvet pants are making me rethink that. It’s no surprise velvet is still living out its moment. I love the lean silhouette of how these velvet pants are cut. There are off-seam pockets, which is a must-have for me. Plus, the way the pants are tailored looks and feels custom. I appreciate the contoured waistband, which helps with fit. I’m wearing a size 00 Petite and it actually runs just a dash big on me. Hence, my belt, which is also big for me, ha! There’s a little bit of smoke and mirrors going on here. Don’t worry, I plan on getting the belt fixed! I’m clearly having some petite girl struggles. While I’d normally consider an alternation job, I’m going to leave these pants alone since they aren’t that big on me.
