Summer Outfit Idea :: Easy Wide-Leg Floral Jumpsuit

As a petite woman, I love when clothing pieces make me look taller. This purple floral jumpsuit elongates an incredible amount. Plus, it’s such a statement piece. At times, it actually looks like a maxi dress because of how wide and flowy the legs on this floral jumpsuit are. I’m not going to lie, the legs are extremely wide. However, the smocked top really balances it out. This is such a flattering jumpsuit and I couldn’t recommend it more for summer. The tie straps are adjustable to what you want, which is really nice. Also, the pants have pockets at the hip! Huge win, ha! If you are petite, be warned you may need to get this hemmed. However, I promise you this floral jumpsuit is worth it. I absolutely love the purple and how the white really pops off of it. This jumpsuit also comes in black and red, too. Read more…

Why You Need a Pair of Wide-Leg Pants

You may have seen plenty of wide-leg pants popping up lately, especially on me! Wide-leg pants are very nostalgic for me. They give me the same vibes as the pants I would wear with an Ao Dai, which is a traditional Vietnamese long dress. I’m partnering with River Island on today’s post to share why you need a pair of wide-leg pants, especially for summer! Wide-leg pants are all the rage right now and these white ones are my current obsession. Wide-leg pants are extremely flattering on everyone and they really elongate you! Plus, they’re so comfortable to wear, especially in the heat because they aren’t tight or restrictive. They really let your skin breathe and keep you cool. This particular pair of wide-leg pants comes in 11 colors, including classics such as black but also fun colors such as lavender, pink and more! Read more…

Happy Monday y’all! We got some gorgeous weather in Coastal Virginia this weekend. Looking forward to summer, I have a feeling this is going to be one of my summer uniforms. This mint tie strap top is the perfect crop top for summer. The length isn’t too short or too long, which is great for petite ladies. Quality wise, the fabric is a dream to steam, ha! Plus, it is a nice weight and isn’t sheer or flimsy. One of the reasons it’s the perfect crop top for summer is it’s lined but doesn’t feel heavy. Little White Talisman Dress in Ghent for Spring

As flowers start to bloom and plants start to grow during spring, I love wearing white dresses because they just pop. This white talisman dress takes details to a whole new level. There are ladder cut-outs through the dress made with metallic thread trim. They are across the décolleté area, at the bottom of the short sleeves and then three times on the flared skirt. This dress is fully lined, which is great. Plus, this fabric feels like a dream, so it’s perfect for spring. Also, the back of this white talisman dress has a really fun, and kind of large, cut-out in a nice triangle shape. The silhouette of this dress is very flattering and definitely helps elongate petite ladies. This would be such a cute dress if you’re a bride for a bridal shower or engagement party, too!  Read more…

Shades of Pink :: The Versatile Surplice Jumpsuit

I love a good jumpsuit. They can be such versatile pieces when you find the right one. Wear to work, wear to events, wear on the weekend or even date night. This mauve surplice jumpsuit is one of those jumpsuits. You’re sure to turn heads when you walk into a room wearing this. The silky fabric skims over the body but isn’t too shiny as you can tell in my photos here. I love the belt, which really lets you cinch in your waist to add extra shape. While this surplice jumpsuit has a halter neckline, you can make this work appropriate with a blazer or cardigan. I’m wearing this jumpsuit with suede block heels but a sharp pair of pumps will take this babe into any executive room. Plus, the neckline isn’t too low so you won’t have to worry about anything popping out by accident. Read more…
