Pink Crush :: Velvet Skirt & Lace Blouse

This is one of my favorite looks of all time, shot in one of my new favorite cities. I’m mixing together two of my favorite pieces. This pink velvet skirt is something I reach for when I want to feel confident and beautiful. It’s the perfect mix of sexy and sleek while being elegant and chic. The fabric hugs your curves without being too tight. Plus, velvet is on trend this fall, so I have no doubts you’ll be seeing this skirt more. I previously styled it with a gray sweater here. This pink velvet skirt is perfect if you dress it up for date night or out with friends. I’m wearing a size XS and it fits beautifully. For care, I recommend throwing into the washer on the handwash or delicate cycle. Use cold water and to lay flat to dry, too. Read more…

Morning in Charleston :: Bodycon Dress + Sleeveless Shawl

October is here, which also means so is cozy sweater weather! I love a crisp morning with a hot cup of coffee in hand. This gray sleeveless shawl is becoming a wardrobe staple I reach for when I’m unsure of how the weather is going to be. While sleeveless, the 100 percent acrylic fabric is cozy and keeps me warm. My sister and I got a little eager on this Charleston trip, so we packed a little bit of everything. Plus, weather can change, ha! This gray sleeveless shawl was perfect for cool mornings and evenings in Charleston, which hover around the mid-60s. However, it also works for the afternoons, which can reach the 80s. I love how the fabric flows and looks great over dresses, skirts and with jeans. Read more…

Double the Denim :: Embroidered Romper + Button Down

Hey Y’all! I hope you had an awesome weekend and your week is off to a great start! I’m coming off of a super productive weekend, especially since the Air Show was in town. Some of y’all may recall last year, I had the incredible honor of flying with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Check out my post to see if I passed out, how many G’s I could handle and my favorite part of the flight!

I’m doubling up on the denim in today’s post because it’s one of my favorite fabrics. This denim embroidered romper is a stunning piece. It’s currently on sale for less than $53 and looks so much more expensive than it really is. Also, I love how you can dress it up or down and throw on a super soft cardigan or leather jacket when temperatures drop. Wear it to brunch on the weekends or even out on date night. The straps are completely adjustable so this romper fits me like a glove. I definitely get compliments each time I wear it because the embroidery is so well done. Plus, I love the scallop detailing on the neckline. Read more…

Summer’s Final Hurrahs :: Paisley Print Romper

Rompers and dresses are my go-to during summer. Luckily for me, summer in Coastal Virginia lasts quite a while, including into October. Last summer, I remember laying on the beach in late September, which is awesome! This means I’ve got some time to continue wearing my summer clothes! This paisley print romper from Show Me Your Mumu has a darling tie back, I absolutely adore. You may need a little help from a friend when putting this one, but it’s so worth it! Plus, I love the high neck. The print is a fresh take on paisley, which can look dated sometimes. I’m styling this paisley print romper down with tan sandals to grab gelato with friends, but you can throw on heels to elevate the look. Read more…
