Sunshine Skirt & Cream White

Hello, Everyone!
The weather significantly cooled down in New York after some loud storms Saturday night so I was inspired to dress in more form-fitting structured fabrics. When I originally saw this vivid yellow skirt in Ann Taylor, it was too big for me. The only size left was a 2, which is far too large for my petite frame. However, I fell so in love with the bright sunshine color and side zipper, I bought it anyways. I took it to my trusted tailor, who shrunk the waist and gave the skirt more of A-Line shape. Now, I have a new favorite.

I discovered this little braided updo for that last day before washing my hair again. I didn’t use to love putting my hair up, but I’ve been feeling adventurous. And this beats a messy bun for days at work.

I got these beautiful flats during the 4th of July sale, where purchases more than $250 were 25% off. They’re taking a little while to break in, but they’re so beautiful and versatile, I couldn’t pass them up. A good tip I’ve found for breaking in shoes is to wear them for bits at a time. And bandaids. Wearing bandaids before you actually get a blister helps loosen the shoe.
